About me: DJ/PRODUCER JEFF JEFFERSON
Miss Moneypennys Resident DJ/& A+R Label Manager for Moneypennys Music&In The Zone Records. It could be said Jeff Jefferson was born for great things the son of no lesser then a Malaysian princess! However, his DJ career had less illustrious roots with him entertaining the troops in Germany during his time in the forces in the early nineties.
Though not the most glamorous, these early army jaunts got him acclaim and lead to bookings through Europe in the early stages of the house music scene. Back in his adopted hometown, Birmingham, Jeff quickly established himself as a key DJ on the scene playing legendary clubs such as SLAG, Wobble and most notably Miss Moneypennys. It was this heavyweight in international glamorous clubbing that really took notice of Jeff Jefferson’s talent and made him a fixture on all their key events around Europe.
The last few years have seen Jeff play at major events for Miss Moneypennys in Europe, Ibiza,Columbia,Switzerland,Dubia,Marbella,Russia,Germany,Holland,Ayia Nappa,Turkey,as well as UK events in Manchester, Birmingham, London, Nottingham, Edinburgh,Cardif,as well the twice-yearly industry showpiece Chuff Chuff. Doing a lot of work for Miss Moneypennys takes up the majority of his Djing time, Jeff is also a fixture on the glam bar/club circuit throughout the UK playing regularly at places including Bambu, Fuel, The Cotton Club, Market Bar & headlining the massive Bank Holiday special events, Smile.
Away from his busy DJ schedule Jeff can at most times be found in the studio and managing the Miss moneypennys record label. After being a huge success in Europe for Miss Moneypennys tours, Jeff is now working closely with the Mind Group for 2007 who promote In Bed with Space in Ibiza and over Europe also Miss Moneypennys World tours. Jeff has also been working with DJ/Producer Jim’Shaft’Ryan on producing the Miss Moneypenny’s Ibiza 2007 album out on Pacha recordings and working closely with Miss Moneypenny’s record label.
With all said the reason behind Jeff’s success has always been the dance floor. Constantly playing in different cities and different countries the 1 factor that always shines through is his natural ability to adapt and keep the dance floor enthralled. At least 90% of all his bookings are re-bookings making him not an easy man to get hold of but when you do it’s worth it!
