No dreary human angst or self-indulgent
celebrations of the decay of our society, or teenage
imbecility saturated in drugs and sex, thank you. Quality fantasies,
some good sci-fi, astute political drama, action films with
wit and humor, real comedy (VERY hard to find now) and
competent escapist fare. No melodramatic, pin-headed sex and
self-indulgent 'drama' constantly repainted and forced
into the minds of a dumbed down theater flock.
Audience reactions...like laughing on cue when the
script tells them to...are some of the most frightful
aspects of the contemporary movie theater experience.
Cloverfield was quite a fun ride. The Illusionist
showed that good films and filmmaking are still alive.
Depp is America's best actor, of course.

Did you know you can invest in carbon like a regular stock. It's symbol is GRN. Carbon has gone up 10% over the last week. Since I'm a carbon life form, does that mean that I'm now 10% more valuable than I was last week? Will I have to pay tax on my increased value? I'm so confused.

The war on drugs is a scam for the Criminal Industrial Complex, like the war on terror, crime, immigration, etc.
It is being sustained by the very people who are fighting it, they will never give it up willingly, and they bribe politicians, judges, law enforcement officers, and the media to maintain it.
The answer is mass resistance, or civil disobedience.
Stop waiting for your "Representatives" to fix this, they won't, they work for the corporate interests, and they will never represent you or I, never.
This is why a Republic form of government is just as wrong as a Democratic form of government.
A republic form of government trusts a few rich powerful men to act on our behalf, and a democratic form of government allows 51 percent to dictate their will on the other 49 percent.
We need less government and in many areas of our lives, no government. That should be our goal.
