"Broken Things"
Jeff and Benares Angeley write and perform acoustic music that is at once steeped in tradition and exciting and new. Their songs sing the human experience with a distinctly American accent. They can be humorous at times and melancholy at others. They are jubilant in places, touching in others, often profound and sometimes silly. Whether playing their own finely crafted original songs or traditional Appalachian music , they are lively, soulful, and captivating. Their harmonies are hauntingly beautiful and their instrumental performance is well rehearsed and impressive.
Currently touring to support their CD "Until The Sweet Apple Grows On the Sour Apple Tree", the duo is intent on bringing their brand of Americana music to audiences up and down the East Coast, as well as Western North Carolina, where they make their home. They have two compact discs currently available: The previously mentioned "Sweet Apple", and their 2006 release"broken Things". Jeff and Benares never fail to impress listeners with their tight vocal harmonies, captivating original music, and their grasp of a multitude of instruments. Jeff and Benares write the songs you want to hear, and their performance takes listeners down the long, dusty road that makes us all human.

"Be Here Now" Festival Scheduled for Starks, ME, August 14-16
Starks, Maine -- The hill at Harry Brown's Farm will come ALIVE
with music, giant puppets, belly dancing, and fire twirling three days during tie "Be Here Now" Festival this August.
Organizers hope to build on the success of “Harry Hoe-Down,” the first festival held on the site this season, where thousands of people braved the late June rains to bring to life Harry Brown's vision of “free people assembling freely.” An icon of Maine's counter-culture, Brown has been hosting festivals on his land for nineteen years to support efforts to legalize marijuana in Maine.
