Born in Aalesund, Norway in 1984, Jeff Andvik spent the first portion of his life growing up amid the peaceful and awe-inspiring grandeur of the Norwegian countryside. Always influenced by the serenity of nature and the allure of sound, Jeff focused his creativity on music at the early age of 9, spending countless hours working with beats and DOS based tracking.
Jeff's devotion to music exploded in 2000 when he moved from Norway to the United States at the age of 16. Excited by then-foreign sights and sounds, Jeff found his niche in Electronic Dance Music, developing an insatiable diligence to learn anything and everything in the industry without the help of his peers. In his last year of college, Jeff's dedication to EDM paid off when he realized his experimenting and dedication to learning had led to major breakthroughs in production.
Always one to break free from the mold and never afraid to be different, Jeff started and continues to explore new ways to set his individual sound apart. Determined to keep his music truly distinctive, he purposely deviates from the analogous undertones ever-present in EDM, bringing us unconventionally fresh, crisp, original, stimulating beats that paint a colorful picture of Jeff's unique blend of EDM.
With numerous releases and remixes on Dumber, Omnis, Audioholics Anonymous and more, Jeff continues to explore and set new precedents in EDM, gaining respect and support from Dumb Dan, Topspin, Ken Cable, Andy Fink, Chris Norman, Trevor Nygaard, and many more. Jeff's radio show "The Andvik Effect" gained much support on di.fm, but is currently on hiatus due to other creative projects. (But it will return!)
