Jeff Byrd and Dirty Finch are a rock band out of southern RI. After founding and leading many different bands including Sonnet and most recently The Audiocentrix, Jeff has branched out into a more fitting singer/songwriter genre drawing comparisons to artists such as Ryan Adams and Paul Westerberg. Jeff Byrd & Dirty Finch are currently recording a new album to be released later this year tentatively titled "The Other Side of Honesty".
The band has performed at such venues as Sullivan Hall in NYC, The Blackstone and the AS220 in Providence, RI, the All Asia in Cambridge Mass and the '09 Keene Festival in New Hampshire. They were also selected as one of the artists to play the 40th anniversary of GAP stores in Smithfield, RI and their song "Probably Maybe" was selected through Reverbnation as a free download made possible by Microsoft. Jeff also performed at the Jeff Buckley birthday celebration at the Metro & Uncommon Ground in Chicago in 2002.
Most recent reviews from a few publications:

"a solid alt-country band from Rhode Island ...the harmonies, melodies, and tight instrumentation soar (check out their song Better With You for an example of the SOLID harmonies)". -Jon Ostrow, Miccontrolblog.com
"Alt. Country group Jeff Byrd & Dirty Finch have been keeping themselves busy playing all over the Northeast and winning praise from Nashville publishers. Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

Four more little sonic gems for your August pleasure are now available on the site. Blitzen Trapper, Boulder Acoustic Society, Jay Brannan and The Wiyos. Yet another fine quartet even though we say so ourselves as picked them out.
