apra, are not there for the artist, for every 500 dollars publisher or artist collect an extra vote is given... 90+ percent of royalties collected by APRA goto artists with publishers and publishers... artists without publishers, have no means to compete when they are with APRA, APRA's contract is exclusive, that means for every copy, a fee needs to be paid on some level somehow to APRA...the internet is a copy machine..is this practical for your art?
