I'm the author of SOME LIKE IT HOT-BUTTERED, the first in the Double Feature Mystery series, starting in October. I also wrote the Aaron Tucker mystery series, starting with FOR WHOM THE MINIVAN ROLLS and then continuing with A FAREWELL TO LEGS and AS DOG IS MY WITNESS. The books are meant to be funny: if you don't find anything amusing on each page, I haven't done my job right. They're also puzzling mysteries. I'm married, father of two. Major fan of the NY Yankees (hiss and boo all you like; they're my team), and classic comedy, especially the Marx Brothers. My interest in comedy is part of the Double Feature series: Elliot Freed sinks his savings into buying a run-down New Jersey movie theatre he renames Comedy Tonight. Elliot shows only comedies: one classic, one contemporary each week. When a patron dies of poisoned popcorn during a showing of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, Elliot takes it personally and decides to investigate.

I don't believe some of those chords, and I want to see him do it right in front of me, to prove they can be played. Robert B. Parker. But he'd probably write a book just while we were talking. Did I mention Mel Brooks? BUT MOSTLY: Booksellers and mystery fans.
