Well, we must be doing something right. Brian and Dan recently had their well-being threatened over Played Out! Check out the article on the gaming site Kotaku.
We're so over it.
The Players:
Jeff is an XBOX 360, so he’s not afraid to brag up his spec-tacular benchmarks. He’s superior to Cube and Two in every way: hi-res graphics, a flying wireless controller (Episode 5)...and three dimensions.
Two, the resident PS2 cleverly nicknamed by the roommates, shared many great times spanning over 7,000 games (as he gently reminds everyone in Episode 2). He’s been feeling a little neglected since Jeff moved in…
Cube can cook a mean chilli (Episode 4).
Dan is a self-employed game tester expertly knowledgeable about all things gaming, especially the new systems. He will sell out (or sell) all of his friends to own the new consoles. Also shares a telepathic link with Couch.
Bri would like to meet a nice gamer girl. He doesn’t ask much, just that she knows the Konami code, can unlock all the levels in Tony Hawk, and can effectively run the option in Madden. Unfortunately, his quest proves more elusive than finding the Rhino in GTA.
Next-door neighbor Gabe barges onto the scene in Episode 5 and is perhaps the only gamer in town more informed than Dan. He consistently defeats Bri in Halo 2 rumbles, he's always the first kid in the apartment building to own (and beat) the latest games.
The Couch Conspirators are long-forgotten, obsolete devices lurking in the uncharted void beneath the roommates’ couch. They periodically interrupt the tech babble to plot their return.
Couch is nervous since the roommates have mentioned upgrading to a three-cushion model.
