Jeff Dernlan studied English Literature at Penn State University where he won The Edward Nichols Award for Best Short Fiction. After college he lived on a remote island in Alaska and worked as a commercial fisherman. He eventually moved to Nashville where he recorded Broadmoor, which reached number 3 on the Euro-Americana Chart and was honored by Rootstime Magazine as one of the best releases of 2006. Things are pretty good. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, things are pretty busy. NYU is hard work but a lot of fun. And no I'm sorry to say that I'm not still playing. I haven't found anyone out here to teach me and am too broke to afford it haha but hopefully someday soon I can pick it back up.
