I'm ALWAYS looking for great bands and solo artists.
I grew up a punk rock drummer who also played classical piano. I lived in Coronado, Ca. It was a great place to live and enjoy life. I would surf for hours with friends ditching school, eating Nachos and Captain Crunch Berries. Music had a huge hold on me. I remember practicing up to 3 hours a day as a child, loving Mozart, Chopin and Bach but, I also loved The Clash, U2, The Specials, English Beat and The Police.
I eloped at 20 years old and we started to have kids right away. we love kids and wanted a big family, the music was constant and so were these little creative kids that we just adored.
I played drums in a signed band called Mayfair Laundry and toured all over the country. we did shows with bands like Sixpence, Steven Curtis Chapman, Third Day and tons more. I also played keyboard and guitar for lots of different artists at the same time. I loved doing any and all things music! I all along produced an artist here or there and wrote tons of songs. I've been producing full time for 2 1/2 years and have had over 60 songs liscensed to TV in the past 2 years alone. I've had the privlage of working with some great artists and songwriters and I'm just getting going.
I've just started to shop artists I produce. My first band I'm shopping is "Interstate" MYSPACE.COM/INTERSTATE2008 an amazing 4 piece kids rock band that is freakin amazing. They are my own kids so to say that I'm really "for" them is an understatement!!!!!!!! The songs are really fun and energetic. We are pretty sure we have a "Smash" hit with the song "Ipod"..I write all the songs for the band along with a few smash hit writers like Dan Miller, Scott Krippayne and Jeannie Lurie, the kids participate in the writing and are naturals at melody and song structure. It's one of the most special things I've ever seen. Like 1 in 20 million kinda thing! I wrote a song with Hayley Williams of Paramore and Interstate. Cool song called "Lately"....soon you'll hear it!
The other artist I'm shopping is Joe Donohoe MYSPACE.COM/JOE1000 and his songs and vibe is really special! He was one of the leads from "RENT"! He's amazing! He has a great ability to write catchy pop songs but they have a serious side to them and a mood that's really cool! We used a string section on some of the songs and a slamming band! Excited to see where this goes!
I also came from being the worship leader/music director in these modern churches for the past 10 years with thousands of peeps every week and it taught me so much about leadership, meeting deadlines, putting tons of teams and colors of sound together. Everything from DJ's with string sections to Rock/Alt bands to Celtic quartets to anything you can imagine was what we got to do weekly for so many people! it was a huge gift!!! check out my blog on my background!!!!! I decided to quit 2 years ago to produce and write songs full time. It's been tons of fun!!!!!!! I have a new studio in Toluca Lake, Ca. where the 134 and 101 and 170 meet. 5 minutes to hollywood, 5 minutes to Studio City and 5 minutes to Universal Studios. I have tons of vintage amps, old drums, a grip of every cool guitar pedals and keyboards and a big fat Yamaha C5, 6'7 Grand Piano. My family and my wife are really amazing human beings. We'll do anything for ya and let you borrow anything....just be nice!!! We've run with the wealthiest of movers and shakers to poor artists who barely eat...we could care less, we just want relationships that are real and authentic!!!!!
Some of the people I've worked with are : The English Beat, Jeannie Lurie, Amy Powers, Paul Wright (Gotee), Dan Miller (O Town, The Clutch), John Pattitucci, Matt & Gregg Bissonette, Scott Krippayne, Quincy Coleman, Rootdown, Hamilton High School Gospel Choir, Chris Rodriguez, Mayfair Laundry, Phil Keaggy, Marc Tanner, The Excitals, Crystal Lewis, Rie Sinclair, Ulria (The Clutch), Kenny Aronoff, Jim Watts, BC Jean, Andrea Remanda....blah blah blah.....
I have to warn you, I'm a huge dreamer! I love longshots, I love when someone says "you can't do that"...
The team I use to make records is amazing, all A list musicians and grammy engineers. There's no skimping, there's only going 100% to make this the best it can be! I co-write with some of my favorite people in the world!
