Jeff Franca is a drummer/percussionist in the DC area. He Currently Plays with MOJAI, The I*Ternals, FLEX MATHEWS, FUNK ARK, Buster Brown, ICU, and Rainy Day Sunshine. Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to play with Alex Acuna, Peter Erskine, Dave Liebman, John Pena, Ray Barretto, Bob Becker, Emil Richards, Steve Houghton, Lou Pride, Khari Kill, I-Sasha, Million Voice, Marlon Asher (The Ganja Farmer) Andrew Lazaro, members of Thievery Corporation and the classic reggae band CULTURE. He is sound engineer and composer for Karen Reedy Dance Company and has had compositions performed at the Kennedy Center. He has worked with composers such as Danny Elfman, Alan Silvestri, Vince Mendoza, Paul Yeon Lee, and Sven David Sandstrom. His playing experience includes a wide variety of styles from Funk, Hip Hop, Rock, and Jazz, to Reggae, Traditional Cuban Song, and orchestral playing. Currently he accompanies modern dance at George Mason University, and teaches a rhythmic analysis class to the dancers. He is available for recording dates, club gigs, and any other performance requiring percussion. He also has limited availability for private students so send a message if interested.
