Interests

  • General

(If you haven't figured it ou from above!): Film/TV/Music. Also, hiking, campking, skiing, throwing a great party. Attending a great party. Staying home and chlling with a good book, or a good woman. Extreme Cuddling. Other interests include jello juggling, and I'm currently working on inventing the windproof flashlight, and drinking water that stays wet, even in the rain. Further developments may include a jacuzzi which does not require a spare tire...
  • Music

As far as what I play - keyboard is the main instrument, and I play just enough guitar to sound bad; however, it may be entirely possible that I am the best jaw harp player on the planet (mostly because no one else has really given the instrument any serious consideration other than a pluck or a twang). I compose everything from orchestral to jazz, techno, rock, flamenco, and just about everything in between. My listening tastes vary just as much - in my car right now is Matchbox 20, Chemical Bros, Harry Belafonte, Score from Dances with Wolves, Moulin Rouge soundtrack, Tya (world music), and my iPod, which has just about everything else...including Manfred Mann, the Kingston Trio, Ivan Rebroff, and Franzl Lang (you're really good if you know the last two)..
  • Movies

Way too many to list, but a few are The World According to Garp, My Name is Nobody (incredible score by Ennio Morricone!), Braveheart, The Matrix (first one only!), Memento, Star Wars (original, also an incredible score), There's Something About Mary, Poseidon (just kidding - sucked!), Cool Hand Luke, Field of Dreams, Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail, Alien, The Shining, The Notebook, House of Flying Daggers, Stealth (just kidding, really sucked!), Pirates of the Carribean, Hero, Planet of the Apes (original), The Last Samurai, As Good As It Gets, Stripes, Risky Business (waiting for "Risky Business 2: Guido the Killer Pimp!"), Casablanca, When Harry Met Sally, Jungle Book, Brazil, Real Genius, Animal House, anything by Alfred Hitchcock, or anything with Godzilla or Dexter Riley...
  • Television

Not too much time for TV these days, but you can't go wrong with a good Seinfeld rerun, Frasier, or the original Lost in Space series...
  • Books

Memoirs of a Geisha, Lord of the Rings trilogy/The Hobbit, any Harry Potter book, any book of quotes, The Tipping Point, Metamagical Themas, Godel-Escher-Bach: The Eternal Golden Braid, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition :) The DaVinci Code, Winnie the Pooh, Catcher in the Rye, anything that inspires me, moves me, challenges me, or changes my thinking, the Dictionary...
  • Heroes

The best heroes can be found at many corner sandwich shops in NY and Chicago - still looking for a really good one in LA. However, for a meatball sandwich, you can't beat Giuliano's in Torrance.

THINGS I LIKE
Laughing til it hurts, running downhill, narrow escapes, "aha!" moments, scary movies with someone that needs to hold me tight, roller coasters, going places I've never been before, mental challenges, physical challenges on days I've eaten a good breakfast, eating a good breakfast, remembering my dreams, chicken marsala, pillow fights, drawing and painting (even though I can't), people watching, asking lots of questions, astrology (even though I don't know that much about it), hide and seek at night with flashlights, the last second before the sun sets on the horizon, trivia, organic food, eating an entire box of Cocoa Puffs in one sitting (doesn't exactly work with the whole organic food thing, I know!), taking naps (even though I rarely do!), airplane takeoffs, and then looking out the window as everything gets smaller, acting silly when no one else is watching - just because, dunking chocolate frosted donuts in milk, anything with dark chocolate, getting and giving massages, French toast, cinnamon toast, spooning, being inspired to create something from nothing, winning, letting someone else win - even when you know you can kick their butt; tomfoolery, monkey business, and shenanigans, but not necessarily in that order; the smile on someone's face when they figured out you're up to something mischievous, the look on my face when I've been caught being up to something mischievous...

THINGS I DON'T LIKE
People that make long lists of things they don't like.

OTHER FACTS
I like nice people. I like smart people. I like funny ass people. I even like funny, smart ass people. Smart people with a nice ass, almost always. ;) Nice people with a funny ass, sometimes.
Any time is a good time for shenanigans, especially when they involve monkey business, and especially tomfoolery.
I don't get the purpose of pajamas.
I like extreme sports, including extreme cuddling.
I'm a gentleman, but know when not to be. ;)
I think life is good.
I'm young at heart, but an old soul.
I am passionate about EVERYTHING I do.
I am quite the ham when it comes to karaoke.
Sometimes a poorly planned night where some things go right can be more fun than a well-planned evening where everything goes right - "adventure" is the word of the day!
I know where to get the best banana cream pie in Los Angeles, and maybe even the world.
I have eaten JellyBellies in at least 7 countries.

I enjoy helping people and giving back, which is what my website www.INFOLIST.com is all about - something that started as just helping a few friends who were out of work find a job has now grown into something that helps thousands of people on a daily basis, and is growing every day! I work hard, and play harder (and sleep every now and then). My philosophy of giving more than I take has led to some truly incredible opportunities for me. While the Info List has become more than a full time job for me, my other two real fulltime jobs are writing music for film/TV/video games/records, as well as writing/producing/creating films and television shows - hence the sleep every now and then. :) I've scored and done sound design for award winning films, hundreds of episodes of primetime television, top selling video games, and Grammy nominated recording atists - you can hear some samples of my work at www.JeffreyRGund.com or at www.myspace.com/JeffreyRGund

I'm Aquarius, which means there's at least 82.7 things going on in my head at any given moment - I'm creative, and philanthropist, and a leader - I have definite ideas about what I want, and where I'm going, and who I want to go there with - because of the aforementioned 82.7 things, I have little time for negative attitudes, drama, and BS - if you surround yourself with good things and positive people, then you have good experiences and great friends, even in a town like LA! :)

If you can keep up with me - you're halfway there! I have lots of energy, but in an even-keeled sort of way. I'm full of surprises - I'm easy to read, but not so easy to understand (or is it the other way around?!) There's times for big fun, and times to chill.

I love to receive comments, but I don't post comments that are strictly business solicitations or self promotional - sure, it's okay to have your plug, logo, or website at the end, but at least start with a "hi Jeff" and some other personal note! If you send me a friend request, please also include a message telling me how you found me, or where you know me from, if you're not a close personal friend. Profiles without a picture or with their friends hidden, or private profiles without an introductory message will not be added.***

Who I'd like to meet:

People that inspire and uplift, whether by their art, or one of the myriad other ways. People who give a little more than they take. People with integrity, and heart. People with vision, that have something to contribute. People who understand that having fun is about who you're with (and who you are), and not about where you're at - after all, having fun is of the utmost importance! I have a small number of GOOD FRIENDS, a large number of FRIENDS (not the myspace definition), and something approacing a ridiculous number of ACQUAINTANCES - and the judgement to know the difference. The bar is very high to be in my inner circle. I don't make the mistake of choosing personality over character and integrity when choosing my friends, to paraphrase a quote by W. Somerset Maugham. I like people who are sassy and confident without being obnoxious - a good repartee is always welcome. Innuendo is welcome. Subtlety is underestimated. Anyone who can touch the tip of their nose with their tongue. Anyone named Faloolah.***

    Hey Jeff,
Thanks for the addition…I just wanted to say I love www.infolist.com… I check it daily! It gives me a heads up on what producers and managers are looking for. Knowing what genre they are looking for, helps me determine where and when to send my screenplays.
I have already submitted two. It certainly helps “feed my hope!”
    Thanks a billion Jeff !
Wishing You and Yours Life’s Very Best!
