I alternate between playing solo and playing with a band. When I play with a band, it's three piece, with Tom Holysz on Drums and Shane Jeffers on bass and me, on guitar, harp, lead vocals. I do have alternate players and always have guest musicians and singers in the audience. There have been times where there were more people on the stage than were in the audience.
Influences
Jim Croce, Hank Williams (Sr.), Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Daniel Lanois and Rev. Gary Davis (and many, many more)
Since the Myspace profile section doesn't allow spaces between paragraphs, my normal bio seemed horribly excessive and narcissistic, in a self-deprecating sort of way (What?)
To be concise, I just want to say that I've made my living playing music for 30 years now with a short stint working in a recording studio and an even shorter stint at a Domino's Pizza in Sherman Oaks, (CA). I have played every kind of venue known to man, from two-bit bars with straw on the floor to headlining (with a "radio show" band) in front of 8000 drunks. I've done original gigs at Hard Rock Live and House OF Blues, and then turned around and played weddings, parties and bar mitzvahs (and even played the opening of a 7-11 one time. True story) Many times, it's been a job but I still get a kick out of it. I don't seek fame and I don't care about making it big; I just want to make enough to pay off my house and put my kid through barber college.
