Bass clarinetist/composer Jeff Kimmel grew up in South Carolina and
attended the New England Conservatory of Music. While in Boston, he
performed with Joe Morris, Allan Chase, Daniel Levin and Luther Gray among others, collaborated with poet Ruth Lepson, and organized a weekly concert
series. Since moving to Chicago in the fall of 2007, he has worked
with Fred Lonberg-Holm, Jeb Bishop, Jason Roebke, Tim Daisy, Matt Schneider, Brian Labycz and others.
