   About Jeff Meleras
I live in Ottawa. I'm married with 2 great kids. I love music, baseball, and hockey, and I like to write songs late at night after a glass of wine or two. That's about it.......... Got two CDs out and I am working on a third that I hope to have out later in 08...

Ottawa Citizen Article on Songs From the Couch, May 10, 2007: "Jeff Meleras is a voracious yarn-spinner with a low rumble and an easy manner. His album is called Songs From the Couch. It's a collection of moments and reflections, like the piles of lint, spare change or burnt roach you might find between the cushions, if you were inclined to reach back into the mysterious tucks and folds. There are storms, sadness and love. Too many Jennifers and a long wait for Jane. A pal named David gets a nod between bursts of tenderness. The album has a fluency in lazy-day country rock, meant to soothe and simmer, not send out distress signals." Ottawa citizen review of The Cottage Sessions, May 2008 "Through his wistful expression, his folkie voice and his utterly sweet sentiments, Jeff Meleras conjures up the feeling of bucolic days spent loafing at the lodge. These strumming sessions -- from a couple of days sequestered in Val-des-Monts, Que., in 2006 -- cover the gamut from churned-up memories, run-on stories and ambient meditations that are part of the experience. The second song, Muse, manages to say a lot about nothing, while Love Song, near the end of the disc, says too much, as if reflecting the fireside part of the evening when you're at great, revealing ease."

Hi Jeff,

Hope life in Canada going great.
Your music is fantastic. Just been listening to 'Hurricanes'. Splendid stuff. They say what comes from the heart goes to the heart. I reckon you write songs from the heart, cause i can feel your music here in the north west corner of England.
Keep up the fine work.

For that steamy night of pleasure, Jeff, I think that 16 bucks is kinda selling yourself on the cheap. Besides it wasn't as good for me as it was for you.
