I live in Ottawa. I'm married with 2 great kids. I love music, baseball, and hockey, and I like to write songs late at night after a glass of wine or two.
That's about it..........
Ottawa Citizen Article on Songs From the Couch, May 10, 2007:
"Jeff Meleras is a voracious yarn-spinner with a low rumble and an easy manner.
His album is called Songs From the Couch. It's a collection of moments and reflections, like the piles of lint, spare change or burnt roach you might find between the cushions, if you were inclined to reach back into the mysterious tucks and folds.
There are storms, sadness and love. Too many Jennifers and a long wait for Jane. A pal named David gets a nod between bursts of tenderness. The album has a fluency in lazy-day country rock, meant to soothe and simmer, not send out distress signals."
Ottawa citizen review of The Cottage Sessions, May 2008
"Through his wistful expression, his folkie voice and his utterly sweet sentiments, Jeff Meleras conjures up the feeling of bucolic days spent loafing at the lodge. These strumming sessions -- from a couple of days sequestered in Val-des-Monts, Que., in 2006 -- cover the gamut from churned-up memories, run-on stories and ambient meditations that are part of the experience. The second song, Muse, manages to say a lot about nothing, while Love Song, near the end of the disc, says too much, as if reflecting the fireside part of the evening when you're at great, revealing ease."
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

Appena sarà tutto pronto ti faremo sapere.
Per adesso ti auguriamo Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo
