I'm a guitarist, singer/songwriter, and private music instructor that teaches guitar and bass at a Motter's Music House in Lyndhurst, Ohio. I do the occassional studio session work, but there's not much of that left in Cleveland these days. Still, I have recently been in the studio doing the videos for the amplifier company DR. Z. It's quite the honor -they make incredible amps. So, if you're watching the videos on the Dr. Z website or on youtube.com -that's me.
After a 7 year stint of getting funky with Skinny Moo, I now do fill-in gigs with cover bands and have a new cover band of my own called HOT DAMN MESS. I love this band because I get to make music with two of my favorite musicians and freinds; Tim Blue and Jeff Beam. Here's some pics of us at practice below. MY CD IN THE WORKS...
After spending years playing in original bands and playing the role of guitarist, producer, and co-writer for several other singer/songwriters, I decided to pour my efforts into a project of my own. This past year has been spent recording my full-blown rock record, but it's been a slow process. The songs are a true blend of all I think is cool (i.e.; big guitars, poppy hooks, riffs, grooves, heartfelt lyrics, painstaking attention to the craft of writing). I love the tunes and I'm really proud of the writing and playing, so with a bit of luck it'll be released this summer. Below are some studio pics of the peeps who I've worked with on the project so far.
Below is the most recent demo that we did for a new Dr. Z amp model. It's called the "Remedy." This amp rocks -holy crap. That's my boyee Brent playing along with me. He's the man. He hates playing in the videos, but decided that it works pretty cool if we play together. This one came out hot. Wanna see more? Go to www.drzamps.com and check out the whole line.
Here's the Dr. Z video demo for the MAZ 18 Jr NR. I liked this model so much that it's the one I ended up getting for myself. I LOVE IT.
What up, Brah?! Z's amps sound freaking great. Tell him I saidHEY" the next time you see him...Knew him for years when I worked for Sam's music back in the day...he was our amp service guy. I remember his first home-made amp. ever...WOW!
lifes good, art, teaching, roller derby....fun stuff. so, since your studio journal is defunct, where does one go to find out 'bout your progress? playing anywhere? cd out? chuck the whole music business? what's up? i'm curious. take care of yourself!
I know I'm boring! Have no time to get it all fixed up. Too busy working and chasing my two kiddos! Hope all is well with you! I am excited to hear your music when it's all done, I'll be checking back.
