My family pretty much taught me everything I know musically, but I would say that the people who I've gotten on stage with over the years have influenced my playing alot too. The "famous people" list includes Hank Williams, Robert Johnson, Bill Monroe, Muddy Waters, The Neville Brothers, Django Reinhart, Wes Montgomery, Bob Dylan, Sam Bush, The Meters, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, SRV, Howlin Wolf, Jerry Garcia
I'm a singer/songwriter, a guitar and mandolin player, and a meat and potatoes lover.
The songs on this page give you an idea of my musical history. "Caesar's Palace" and "One for the Band" were recorded at the Sound Emporium here in Nashville. "Funky Music" was recorded by the funk/rock/blues band Pie that I fronted for five years. Pie won "Best Blues" of the Hartford Advocate reader's poll in 2004. "Since You've Been Gone" is an old timey kinda tune that my brother and I like to play as a duo. "The Wreckage" is more a singer/songwriter type tune.
Artists/bands I have performed/recorded with include The Blaney Brothers, Pie, Murphy's Law, Luke., Ben DeBerry, The One and Only Bill Davis, Dave Duncan, Mike Tierney & freinds, Bloomer, The Hedgehawgs, The Moneymakers, Backtalk, Nate Day, and Grand Fusion. I also hosted an acoustic open mic with my brother Rob for about 5 years.
