My name is Jeffrey Caissie. I play guitar and sing. Neither of which I am amazing at, but I manage. I was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada in 1977. In 1982 I moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
From 1990 - 1999, I played in a bunch of Punk/Hardcore/Emo/Indie bands you have never heard of like, All Rights Reserved, Showdown76 & Porter Hall.
In 1999 I played in a band called The Fragments, we played together until 2003.
In 2002, Meter Records released my first solo record "I am Just Trying Not to Lose My Mind". From ’02 - ’03 I played stuff off that record with my backing band, The Beatrats. Jeff Caissie & The Beatrats consisted of myself, Tim Schweiger & Justin Perkins. Both who went on to form The Obsoletes.
In 2004 (I think) I formed The Jeff Caissie Group. The Jeff Caissie Group consisted of myself, Ryan Adams, Andy Harris, Luke Hollister & Chris Capelle. We played together for about a year. Then everyone in the band moved except for Chris Capelle and myself. Chris and I played some shows together as a two piece then we were joined by Jennifer Bohn and Formed Jeff Caissie & The Cheating Hearts in 2006 - 2007.
In late 2007 I started playing shows with former guitar player of Porter Hall & Mico; Todd Harkness. Todd and I have been playing music together on and off for over a decade and it’s great to have someone playing acoustic with me-we are currently gearing up to begin working on my third album this time to be released on Saved By Vinyl, a label based out of Calgary, Alberta Canada. The Album will on LP, CD and digital format.
actually I have heard of all of those bands you played in. in fact, I think I even have cds or at least songs on cds from each (fodder for my next radio show?)

Its been a while! How are you??? The band is mainly blues. Andrea has a killer voice, we have two guitars a stand-up bass and drums besides me on the violin.
