Jeffrey Earnhardt (born June 22, 1989 in Mooresville, North Carolina) is the next to oldest grandson of the late seven time NASCAR Winston Cup champion Dale Earnhardt. He is the son of former NASCAR driver Kerry Earnhardt. Jeffrey was signed in 2007 to drive for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated (DEI) in the Busch East Racing Series.
Racing career
Jeffrey Earnhardt is the middle child of Renee Earnhardt and Kerry Earnhardt, grandson of the late Dale Earnhardt Sr., great-grandson of Ralph Earnhardt and nephew to Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Earnhardt's first race came in the Hornet Division at Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia. He scored 3 feature wins and finished in the top 5 in division points, winning Rookie of the Year. The following year he moved up to the Sportsman division at the Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Virginia, finishing the season in the top 10 of the division standings. He also competed in the late model season finale at the track as a teammate to RCR developmental driver Allison Duncan.
In 2006, General Motors created a driver developmental search program wherein they looked for individuals they believed to be the stars of the future and invited them to test a late model and a Busch car at 2 different tracks with the best moving on. Jeffery made the final cut.
In 2007 Earnhardt drove a #1 Chevrolet for Andy Santerre Racing in the NASCAR Busch East Series. He finished 5th in the 2007 Busch East point standings and won the Most Popular Driver award at the end of the season.
In 2008, Earnhardt returned to what is now known as the NASCAR Camping World East Series for another season.
2009 Jeffrey will run a progressive schedule in an effort to get him prepared for a run at the rookie of the year campaign in 2010 in the Nationwide Series with Rick Ware Racing. He will share duties with his father Kerry Earnhardt. Kerry will debut with the organization April 4 at Texas Motor Speedway in the No 31 Chevrolet. His son Jeffrey, 19, is scheduled to make his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut at Dover International Speedway May 30.

Dale Earnhardt, Inc. is a NASCAR team based in Mooresville, North Carolina. Originally formed in 1980, by seven-time Winston Cup champion Dale Earnhardt.The team is now owned by Teresa Earnhardt , Chip Gagnassi, & Felix Sabates, The DEI Ganassi Team w/ Felix Sabates currently fields four full-time Sprint Cup teams and competes with several DEI Development Drivers in Nationwide and Camping World Series
RWR has worked and developed over 20 rookies making their NASCAR debut. Including female drivers with top 20 finishes as well as veterans such as Daytona 500 Champ Derrick Cope and Mike Wallace.
Having had to be hands on in every aspect of a race team including handling market/sponsor relations, hiring, scheduling, engine programs and overall management, RWR is open to any challenges. Example, to satisfy the growing needs of sponsors and the ever changing demographic RWR was versatile enough to assemble and compete in the AMA Supercross, Motocross Series and Arenacross. Not only did we cater to a new audience for the sponsors we competed and beat factory teams while simultaneously racing on opposite ends of the country (California and Daytona). This allowed RWR to have raced and entertained at over 20 events before the 1st flag fell for the 2007 season at Daytona.
Rick Ware of Rick Ware Racing has a unique perspective as an owner, having been on both sides of the pit wall and just as comfortable pitching sponsors in main stream American boardrooms. Rick knows the importance of hiring the right people and when in doubt always hire people smarter than yourself.
