As a die hard rockin' performer, hit songwriter and producer, Jeffrey Steele is just getting started. With his current album "Gold Platinum No Chrome and More Steele Greatest Hits Vol. II" released May 2007, and a classic album coming fall of '07, Jeffrey is hitting the ground running. Among his many accolades over the past few years Jeffrey has been named BMI Songwriter of the Year for 2003 and NSAI writer of the year for 2003, 2004, and 2006. His country and A/C number one song "What Hurts The Most" recorded by Rascal Flatts was nominated for a Grammy for best country song and recieved a BMI Pop Award as well. If that wasn't enough, BMI recently awarded Jeffrey for over 17 million airplays for hitson such artists as Montgomery Gentry, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins, LeAnn Rimes, Rascal Flatts, VanZant, and many others.
If Jeffrey is not writing a hit song, he is probably producing or performing one! Jeffrey lent his producing skills on the Montgomery Gentry album My Town and Some People Change and the recent Keith Anderson Album XXL. Jeffrey is currently producing the new Keith Anderson and Trick Pony projects for '07. Jeffrey also spends time on the road promoting his own material and playing dates with such artists as VanZant, Delbert McClinton, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. While he is back in Nashville writing he is also running his publishing company 3 Ring Circus Music and it's hit writers who have recently enjoyed success with "My Wish," "Brand New Girlfriend," "Help Somebody," and "Everytime I Hear Your Name."
The former lead singer of the group Boy Howdy moved to Nashville in 1994. The last of 5 kids born in Burbank, California, Jeffrey's upbringing was filled with every type of music possible. From Led Zepplin and Beatles, allt he way to Hank Williams and Waylon Jennings. There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
