My parents were music lovers so I grew up with a wide variety of music in the house. Lots of big bombastic jazz - Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Bill Evans.. Lot's of singer/songwriters - James Taylor, Carole King, Dylan, Bruce Springsteen. I went throught my punk/new wave phase - The Clash, Elvis Costello, Blondie, B52's. I think I listened to The Who for all of 1982 and The Police for the next couple.. Eighties synth stuff - Thomas Dolby, Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw, The Fixx, Rupert Hine. I like the earlier U2 stuff, although some of the later stuff is cool too. Peter Gabriel is probably my favorite artist of all time, and subsequently Tony Levin is right up there as my fav bass player. I liked the heavy grunge rock stuff - Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Kings X. I love Morphine, and all of my Boston musician friends that I play or have played music with: Todd Thibaud, Amy Fairchild, Jennifer Tefft, Barbara Kessler, Mario Perrett, Greg Greenway, Katie Terrio, Phil Antoniades, Duke Levine and Dave Mattacks
I write music and play bass with my friends. I have had some of my music on TV (NCIS, All my Children and One Life To Live.) My sister Raissa is a great drummer and beautiful person, and is the reason I play bass.
Beer can chicken rocks!! Except today I messed up and put the smoker box on the non-lit half of the grill (I fixed that half-way through the process), so it didn't come out as smoked. Yum! let's finish sugar on the side as soon as you settle in. hugs barb
