   About Jeff Taube
I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 I was born March 8, 1950 in Niagara Falls, New York; the same city where my parents had their honeymoon (though which came first has never been revealed to me). At age 3 my parents forced me to move with them to Long Beach, California, where I had a normal dysfunctional childhood until joining my first band in 1965 called Little David & The Disciples (a 6-man group with 4-members named David). We later changed our name to The Difference and were a cover band that backed up The Drifters and The Coasters from time to time and opened occasionally for Ike & Tina Turner. In 1968, tired of the L.A. music scene and a couple of outstanding warrants, I hitchhiked to New York City and got to play The Village Gate, The Bitter End, & Max’s Kansas City (plus another 100-joints that no one remembers). During the mid-seventies I moved back to the west coast and settled in Venice Beach where I formed an infamous punk band called Bloodclot together with Josh Manley (a former lead guitarist for The Stranglers). In the early 80’s I moved to Gothenburg, Sweden, where I rented a small run down kiosk in Linnéstaden (one of the nicer parts of town) and had an ongoing performance art project there for the next 6-years, of which the most popular were: 42nd Street (the world’s smallest music theatre), Off The Wall (The worlds smallest art gallery), Peanuts (an unconventional psychiatric clinic), and Intergalactic Investigations (a detective agency with no clients). During this time, asides from gigging occasionally, my friends and I also produced dozens of shows and a free newspaper called d.o.a. News. Since then I’ve produced a few shows (the most popular being the Freak Show; late 90’s), written 6-crime novels (which I’ve grown tired of trying to sell), recorded a few records, played a few hundred gigs;, not to mention being married then divorced & helping raise a wild child. The past 5-years I’ve been spending the winters in Morocco, mostly hangin’ with my Gnawa buddies in Essaouira, doing an occasional gig, writing songs, and various other extracurricular activities. All in all, life is good; or as my father used to say, “I can’t complain…no one listens anyway so what’s the point!” taube.jeff@gmail.com I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.

Hej Jeff!
Iallafall levde (R.I.P) HagaTexas ännu.
Ljus och energi...
Kram från Mattis=))

Hi Jeff,

Back in business again, after six months of lethargy and gear trouble. New track up, a pretty heavily reworked Håkan Hellström song, strangely enough. Plesase fell free to check it out.

all the best,

/Hans

Have asked for your records in Norway and the are only on the net. Maybe you should talk with Platekompaniet? They seemed interested and are the best record store on the Norwegian marked. Me and some friends are hlding a Cohen tribute soon.
