Growing up in the late 80's into the early 90's, Jef had already found the electronic sound thru many of the main stream artist of the time and his taste for it grew along with him into high school. Jef attended Bonita Vista High in San Diego and learned to play Saxophone and read music. He also was in his schools marching band and had an early exposure to performing in front of crowds. Shortly after high school and already aware of such groups as Chemical Brother, Crystal Method and Underworld he was introduced to the underground scene by some of his old friends Duane and Lil Ryan who are most known now for holding the longest House Music Weekly called Bar Dynamite in San Diego and Head of Natural Flavors an event production crew that held some of San Diego's best undergrounds to date. Jef attended his first true rave in 1996 called "Dune" in the deserts of Southern California. After being amazed at the love and vibe created by the music and controlled by the DJ on stage, Jef realized what he was put on this earth to do. Soon after, Jef was seen at his local record and sound store buying is first set of turntables. Jef spent time learning the tricks and even had a little help early on from Christopher Lawrence showing him a few tricks. Shortly after Jef was regularly spinning at the local 18 and over club called "Evolver" and started hosting his own after-hours in the clubs back room. Jef even caught the eyes of local radio personality Glitter Girl and performed on her late night Saturday show called Ear Extasy on San Diego's local radio station 91X. From there on, Jef has gone on to perform all across Southern California from Clubs to Raves, Burning Man to House parties and even Massives such as Nocturnal Wonderland. Jef has also played at many out of state events across the Nation and performed several times at clubs and events in Mexico. Playing along side many of today's top artist and locals from his home town such as Micro, Jon E Thin, Mark E Quark, Thee-O, Christopher Lawrence, Merlyn, Ellis Dee, Jason Blakemore, DRC, Mark Farina, Kid Krazzy, Charlie Brown, Miss Lisa, Ali Ghanavi, Vince Delano, Kyle Pound, Jon Bishop, Pepe Mogt, Psyclops, Red Sonya, Jon Brae, Alien Tom, and many more. His style of mixing elements of house, electro, breaks, progressive and some trance with an old school appeal is unmatched and creates a unique sound has calls "Desert Trance" In 2009 Jef partnered up with local legend Jon Bishop to form "GoodVibe Media" and is bringing back the legendary club night "Hedonism" under the new name ReVive and is hosted at a famous landmark in San Diego, The Flame.
