A few years ago I asked Steve if he was available to produce the next ‘Logue ‘ offering,
the idea was nothing radical , 4 or 5 acoustic songs and maybe a couple of full band
tracks to wake up the locals once I’d lulled them into an acoustic coma…The solo artist
became a duo .......One album later and full band to boot we give you ‘Jellobox’ (at last)
Every new session started with the latest acoustic musing and usually ended about 3000
musical miles from where we started, driven by the belief that if a song is good enough it
will always find the right path (we just read the signs and enjoyed the ride).
This album has seen a lot of action from international travesties to personal highs and lows,
the stuff you cant write, it just happens. Celebration and safety blanket.
The cast : Steve Hulme - chief tea boy, the most patient producer, reborn bassist and
reluctant backing vocalist. Steve seems to have the ability to hear the perfect part when
all around are lost a sea. ( your contribution is immeasurable, I really do owe you one).
Mark Yeomans - the virgin guitarist, its easy for outsiders to see what you are capable of,
faultless, limitless and always humble, here’s to the next 20 years (did somebody say
walnut?). Luke Alton - the most frustrating musician I have ever had the good fortune
to meet, a true natural who somehow manages to turn the mundane into something
exceptional, great pipes, soulful keys and a cocktail for every occasion.
Rob Cotterill - We waited a long time to meet Rob, a truly outstanding drummer with
feel to match, Its been emotional . (if you want to get home by midnight don’t follow me).
Paul Beswick - check your dictionary, if the word musician is not summarised with this name
then you need a new edition, a megawatt personality and the inspiration when we were lost.
Dave Smith - (me) frustrated songwriter,budding vocalist and just another guitarist.
