Welcome to the space between Jem's ears ... I like to LAUGH a lot - if you think that makes me simple, then you are brimming over with wrongocity, I just happen to like laughing and joking around. People are far too serious about stuff.
35 (buuhuuuuuuu, yet another update) years old, I'm mother of one gorgeous son, I'm a writer, poet and lyricist, currently learning the electric guitar after a 20 year break. After my son, family and dearest friends; MUSIC and WRITING are my passions. If you lost me somewhere, just play some Europe or Norum and I'll come to find you. I have a huge supply of patience ... but when it runs out I am animal. Don't hurt the people I love or I will track you down and spell out your name in your own entrails. You think I sound a little vengeful maybe? Or overdramatic? I was hurt badly when I was a kid and it's now my life's work to ensure that doesn't happen to my kid. Don't push the wrong buttons and you will never have to find out just how serious I might or might not be.
My book (PEACE AT RED ROCK) is still being written, time kinda does wierd stuff when you get a kid ... between being a full time mom, working 20 hours a week on my night-job (yeah it's "part-time" but come on, the kid is already full time!!), working part time in a musical instrument shop to fund my guitar-shaped obsession, trying to learn to play the guitar better and running a house ~ it doesn't leave a lot of free time for writing.
... the point being = LIFE IS BUSY ... so if I didn't write to you or text you or phone you lately, I am really sorry ... my official writing website just went down terminally (partly due to the twatmuffinry of the hosts) so it will be a little while before I get chance to re-create it --- watch this space :)

Ah, and with everything else in my life (bored is dead as far as I am concerned, I may have been a hellraiser or a bit of an adrenaline junkie in the past - and perhaps a little part of me still is ~ but I am quite cerebral and will only be your friend if you do something for my mind ... I also spend time at ancient sites, I love my local stone circle The Rollright Stones in West Oxfordshire, a place of great peace, spirituality and calm, whatever your religious conviction, you cannot fail to be moved by those stones, some of which have stood since 3,500 BC ... time imbues these places with memories ... I also make very simple jewellery for friends and use crystals, which I try to choose for my friends if they need something. Well I guess you must be bored shitless right about now, but thanks for reading anyhow ... x

@ music artists / bands that throw out a gagillion random invites everyday ... I love music and if your music floats my boat I will GLADLY add and support you - however, please don't just throw an invite at me if you didn't bother to read about the kind of stuff I like ... this isn't school and I am not in it for numbers ... If I don't rate you I won't add you - simple as ... don't be offended, it's nothing personal; but what's the point in having 10,000 myspace friends who never listen to your music?
oh and in case you were wondering - ethnicity ... ah well ... you see, there wasn't a box for the thing I wanted to put: Canadian Indigenous / Irish / Dutch Royalty / Romany Gypsy / Olde English Seafaring stock ... so why isn't THAT a standard choice??
and oh hey how much do I love all your comments on my guitars: they've been called a fiddle, an axe, a cute tool, a wild shape, a batman axe and a kill machine ... oh I just love you all!!! By the way, as a few of you have asked about the black one: It's Crafter Cruiser RG600 ... it's an inexpensive machine, but it's perfect for starting out ... my fingers are too short for the Gibson LP, the Vee looked fucking STUPID on me and the Ibanez JEM was waaay too expensive for me. It's rosewood fret on a maple neck with a basswood body and bog standard humbuckers ~ actually, I've had the bridge pickup replaced wth a fat Seymour Duncan 59 rep ~ it's very nice indeed!!! OH SO METAL!!
The Ibanez is an RG1570 and although it looks black it's a colourway called "midnight" - which is a black background shot with flecks of blue and green shimmer - stunning. What can I say - playing this guitar is like the best sex - smooth, as long as you want it, fast or melodic ... *sigh* ... must go polish my fretboards hahaha ...
