Dan Jenkins is a life-long native of the Ohio Valley, being raised by modest means. His experiences in the legal sector and in academia along with his youthfulness make Dan an ideal candidate for State Representative from the ninety-fifth district.

Dan Jenkins has learned the importance of a strong and prosperous Ohio Valley over his lifetime and has seen firsthand what a difference a few years can make. During his lifetime Dan has seen the steel mills that once employed over ten-thousand now employ only a handful and a valley that once carried the steel industry on its back disappear. Now the valley has become a place of poverty and despair as our friends, family and coworkers have left the area in search of jobs elsewhere. He believes that with the right leadership in the Ohio Valley, we can return industry and jobs back to the Ohio Valley’s willing workforce.

Dan Jenkins realizes that the future of the Ohio Valley depends on starting and growing industry in order to create new job opportunities in the 21st century economy. As a co-founder of a small technology firm, and a leadership consultant, Dan has seen firsthand what it takes for a company to survive and grow in the modern economy.

Dan Jenkins is committed to educating the valley's young people. He has been an adjunct professor and lecturer, educating the valley’s finest. Dan realizes that in order to be competitive in a global economy, it is critical that the Ohio Valley educate and retain its talented youth.

Dan Jenkins now wants to lead the fight to create a new Ohio Valley. He knows that the local government of the Ohio Valley needs to adopt the same kind of innovation that has proven successful in other regions. He knows that continuing with the current trend will only drive even more jobs and families away from our valley. Dan will bring the tenacity and youthfulness that is needed to bring a bright and successful future to the Ohio Valley.

Dan Jenkins is committed to changing the way the valley does business, creating a business climate that makes the valley an attractive place to start or expand a business. He believes that the Ohio Valley can be a great valley again, but not if we continue to run away from new ideas and remain bound to "politics as usual."
