NEW LIVE VIDEO!
On August 25, 2008, David Helpling and Jon Jenkins were joined by long time friend and collaborator Matthew Stewart for a rare live performance at the University Of California San Diego. Some of the best moments of that memorable evening were released on the BEYOND WORDS - RARE LIVE TREASURES limited edition CD - available at deepexile.com.
Thankfully David and Jon's good friend Joe Abreu was on hand (and on stage!) with a video camera to document the rare event. This video combines Joe's live footage of the very same performance of "The Knowing" that appears on the BEYOND WORDS live CD, with some of the spectacular images that Jon and David project on screen when they perform in concert.

In addition to David and Jon's track "Grand Collision", the CD also includes tracks from Tim Story, Nicholas Gunn, Peter Kater, Jonn Serrie and other notable artists. Click here for more info.

Treasure LIVE - a significant event
The largest Qigong gathering in the Western hemisphere took place at the end of June in Orlando, Florida. This significant event was the setting for the first live performance of the Treasure album. Having embraced this music, the leaders of Qi Revolution insisted that Jon & David Helpling bring the album to life on stage at the peak of this 4-day gathering. Along with drum master Matthew Stewart, David and Jon played to an enthusiastic audience in an ideal concert setting.

John Diliberto, host of one of the coolest radio programs in the history of all mankind, Echoes, recently flew to San Diego from the Echoes homebase in Philadelphia, and spent an afternoon at Deep Exile with David and Jon talking about Treasure. The interview feature was broadcast nationwide on the Echoes program in June of 2007. You can hear it for yourself in Deep Exile Podcast 2.

The New World
I recently created some music to be used for the promotion of the Terrence Malick
film The New World.
The music was used in several promotional pieces including a Behind
The Scenes Featurette Trailer, and a Behind-The-Scenes
preview. These tracks remain unreleased, however one of them can be heard
right here on this page...another one which features the vocals of the lovely
and talanted Linda Sargent, can be heard on her myspace page here.
Hello Jon, Thanks so much for the Add–and your friendship. We enjoyed your music very much. Thanks for sharing it with all of us. It's a pleasure having you among our friends! We've just added two new blogs about Umano, plus four more new compositions, making ten on our space. We hope you and your friends visit us and enjoy our music, too. We wake up every morning and play the music of the new MySpace friends who have arrived at our site during the night. It occurred to us that these friends (you are among them) are almost universally positive, whether they be novices or legends, and without regard to their station in life or the country they occupy. Although it's not an original thought, it also occurred to us that we couldn’t hold a verbal conversation with most of these friends, but we have bridged that gap by expressing our art honestly with each other. We all have been filling the world with our music and art, in the hope that our messages of love and human understanding will have an impact on the world at large. What a gift and what an opportunity we have received from this technology! Thom & Lorry Gambino New York, New York
