About me: Well...I'm a native Texas girl!!! I had a hectic and deranged childhood that has made me a fairly unique and well rounded individual...I think! Lol! At least I try to be open-minded! I love movies, reading, shopping, clubbing, sleeping in a warm, fluffy bed. I love eating!!! What else, oh, any adrenaline induced activity, and there is nothing like a having a good cultural experience in some far off, exotic country...traveling is the #1 thing I love to do. And of course, the beautiful game of SOCCER!!! Though very articulate, I love being spontaneous and trying things I haven't done already. And some things I just like to do twice or a lot!!! Lol! Let's see...I have a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology in which I just graduated with in May 2008, cum laude from Midwestern State University....so excited!!! Not really putting it to use yet, but I definitely will!! I am single, so line up boys!!! Just joking! When it happens, it happens, right? But I gotta tell you I am the biggest, hopeless romantic in the world!!! What can I say? Overall, I'm fun, motivated, ambitious, and independent. I am outgoing yet shy, bold yet modest, direct yet withdrawn....okay, okay, I think adaptable is the word I am looking for! If I forgot anything or if you're just curious...write me! I am always intersted in meeting different personalities!!!!
Background:
Who I'd like to meet: I really like to meet individuals who remind me to be thankful for the small things and be happy for the luxuries that many in America share. There is an infinite list of individuals that fall into this category so I will just have to state my number one: Helen Keller.
Born: June 27, 1880
Died: June 1, 1968
When Helen Keller was 19 months old, she got sick and lost her sight and hearing. Her accomplishments as a deaf and blind person were an inspiration to millions. She believed that "true sight and hearing are within, not without." With the help of her lifelong teacher and assistant, Anne Sullivan, Helen Keller learned to read, write, and speak. During her lifetime she graduated from college; became a best selling author; traveled around the world; met with Presidents, world leaders, celebrities, and ordinary people; and served as an advocate for social justice and for people with disabilities.
Absolutely incredible and admirable!
