Yoga, Dancing, Crafty projects, Painting, Travel, Music, music everywhere! Making collages, eating brie, feeling that crusty saltiness that clings to your skin after a day at the beach, an afternoon nap, finding constellations, middle eastern food, curry, sushi, coconut, mango, tamarind, mojitos, margaritas, making homemade wine and beer, watching my children sleep, chocolate, cheese, fresh crusty bread, pickled green beans(only in New Orleans!), campfires, fireflies, the smell of freshly cut grass, playing in the rain, hide and go seek. i am never without my camera, i'll shoot you, me, architecture, nature, whatever, whenever. Oh yeah, i like football. and i like it best when my team is winning. i love parties, in my next life i'll be a party coordinator... or a crime scene investigator. it gives me joy to choose a theme and watch it come to life and be celebrated. i like drawstrings and the sound of velcro. waterfalls, quiet wooded areas and humming, which i mostly do when i am totally bored. marine life... seahorses, turtle, dolphin, reef fishes, sharks... all intriguing creatures. Coming into "my own"... which i believe you do more than once in your lifetime.

Almost everything. If you feel it, move with it. Raised on reggae, soca, dancehall, anything islandy i love. The sitar stirs my soul, heavy Indian melodies and Greek rhythms, too. All of the Naked Music artists. Thievery Corp., West Indian Girl, Yaz, Peter Gabriel, Nina Simone, Everything but the Girl, Lazy Dog, Morcheeba, The Januaries, Shannon, Trinere(we're goin' back) Kaskade, Lazy Dog, Ween, Hooverphonic, Lamb, Bob Marley, Byron Lee and the Dragoneers, Elvis, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Keane, Coldplay, Travis, Jamiroquai, Johnny Cash, The Greenskeepers, Esthero, Jessy Moss, The Clash, David Bowie, The Beastie Boys, Rin DMC, Papas Fritas, i like a lot of world music, sitar laden tracks from india, zydeco from the swamps, sultry greek rhythms, and latin hip shakin' tunes...i could go on and on but even if i listed every damn cd i own it would not begin to encompass the depth of my interests...every day brings something new. And if nothing is eternal music comes damn close... it unites centuries, breaks language barriers.

I admit I'm addicted to trash tv when I'm bored or sick or folding mountains of laundry... I love the Discovery Channel, the History Channel and NatGeo... Mark Twain once said, "Don't believe anything you read in the newspaper..." I say, that goes double for television.

I'm an island girl at heart, born and raised on St. Thomas, in the Virgin Islands. It truly is paradise on Earth and my childhood was beyond compare. I love to get crafty and let my energy flow creating collages, laying out mosaic tile on my bathroom floor, taking artsy pictures of my kids, just gettin' crafty is a high for me... i love to cook and bake and plan parties... my family is amazing! i couldn't ask for more wonderful parents. we are best of friends, as well as family. my mom is indescribable... my dad is THE coolest guy on the planet... and my sister is my best friend... i love the hell out of gregorio... he balances me. life is better because of him. his laugh, his antics, his music, his eyes, his smile. and i always beat him in scrabble, ok... not always, but 9 times out of 10. and i hate losing... except that it pushes me to do better the next time. i want us to be what our love makes us. forget about goals and plans. let us be shaped by the love we create. my children remind me why i am here, every day with them is a gift. they put things into perspective. period. i am a total perfectionist. i analyze everything, ridiculously. i love my friends. they have to be real otherwise i don't have the patience, or the time. save the drama... like i tell the kids, "you're wasting your energy!" life is too short for conflicts. live every day, love all your days. that's the virgo in me... save everyone, love them all. i am at my very core, a lover of life. simplistic? maybe, but i believe that you have to live while you're alive! i was raised to enjoy myself, to accept responsibility for my own happiness, to kiss life on the lips, then smile, fulfilled. live the life you love, and love the life you live...

Yeap, my Mom and Dad took it. My Mom wants to learn to play and teach Lily someday. I'm feeling great. Thanks for asking. I was a little icky-super tired, crampy, not hungry at all-for the first few weeks but it all dissappeared last week :-) I am only about 11 weeks, my due date is October 12th! Very excited! I don't know about tomorrow. So far I think we are working half the day at the Shop and having my Mom's Mom over and some of her friends and Pete and Dorothy for dinner. Jim and Leslie said they may stop by for a drink at some point and you are all more than welcome to swing by too. I am sorry it got so complicated. Last minute planning went a little crazy! We'd love to see everyone but we had made plans allready. I am sure at some point we will all meet up and I think we are going to try to do a cousins thing with Jackie?
