If you’re ready to have some real music on your stereo again, then you are ready to meet 25 year old Jenn Beaupre. Fresh and trendy, her pretty piano playing and expressive vocals are the perfect combination of old and new. “I feel quite strongly”, says Jenn Beaupre, “that music is one of the most healing channels that humans have access to.” She has put that notion into action with the creation of her new release: “Lullabies for Grown- ups”.
Lullabies for Grown-ups, Beaupre’s first studio album, is a collection of 13 thoughtful tunes with soothing, sweet melodies and refreshing simplicity. The album’s musical colors span an eloquent spectrum- from a fetching ditty on a chaplain’s organ (For Once), to a smooth yet rhythmic track perfect for a daydream, (Chocolate). Renowned harpist, Zeena Parkins, weaves through the final piece on the album with floating harp harmonies, (the Truth).
Clever lyrics are at the heart of Jenn’s music. Relatable and often witty lyrics are peppered throughout the album. Jenn has combined her classical training with her chanteuse soul, to create a polished style all her own. Pure and charming, Jenn will bring you back to the days when an artist really had to be an artist. A stage, a microphone and a piano are, often, all that’s needed for this artist to truly entertain her audience. While her stage banter can be darn funny, her voice is seriously powerful. “People always ask me how such a big sound comes out of someone so small ”, Jenn adds. Jenn has been compared to Tori Amos, Norah Jones and Sarah McLachlan.

First of all, the cover and sleeve are simply gorgeous! I gave it more than a few listens already, and I just love the balance in the style of songs. I was also really happy to find old favorites of mine ("overnight" and "protest music") that I used to listen to in a loop on your old website, haha! I'm so glad to add it to my collection, Jenn!
I'm pretty excited to order a cd of yours, but I'm afraid I'm not sure where to, or if it's available to do so just yet. Will it be up on your website soon, or should I look elsewhere?
