MySpace a place for friends

Hello! My name is Jenn and I might be addicted to music!...

... but I blame it on the fact that, not only am I fan of many genres, I've been reviewing Country Music CDs since 1999! Is that a good enough excuse? :)

I'm not really the type of person who likes talking about myself unless actively engaged in conversation (otherwise it sounds like I'm only interested in "Me me me"), so for now I hope that if you want to get to know me you'll message and things will go from there.

A few words (if you are interested) - I can promise I'm friendly if that helps in any way and I do love to joke around and learn whatever I can. You could also describe me as being an "old and kind soul." From an early age I always seemed to be wiser than my years, which is a trait that allows me to help friends when they have problems. Guess that also makes me serious at times. I try to do what I feel is right and stand for what I believe in, even to the dismay of others at times. But that's okay because it is part of what makes the world go 'round. You respect me and I'll respect you :)

I was already a big fan of music before signing up to MySpace, but now with the ability to listen to songs from all over the world it just seems like I can't get enough. Being able to discover such wonderful musicians is like being a kid in a candy store!

From Country Music to any other genre I will always been a strong supporter of singer/songwriters. You can tell they give a little part of their soul with each composition and I think that makes for better music. There's an extra special something that you can't ignore. If you do ignore it, then what's wrong with you? :D

Some of the various Country Music / Sub-Genres I enjoy are: Alt. Country and Texas / Red Dirt Country, Bluegrass, Rockabilly, Folk, Americana... Okay I might as well just stop and say that I (generally) like a little bit of everything. I can't help it. If I keep going on I'd just bore you... Which has probably already happened. You get the idea! :)

If you want to see a majority of the artists I like, there are plenty to view under the "Music" section of my profile. But when you are done, remember that isn't everyone! :)

Outside of the Country Music genre, lately I've been listening to The Beatles, The White Stripes, Oasis, and other related artists. Maybe a little Stereophonics and Jet also. You know, so I can ease back into some rock and roll music. All thanks to one of my super-cool, good friends!

I don't really have a purpose or reason for creating my profile. Guess I'll just browse around and see what happens. Maybe find some new music and a few more friends. :)
