I am interested in all aspects of writing. My focus as of late, however, has been on visual writing.
I recently finished a feature length screenplay and have received several literary recognitions for my writing. These accomplishments include being a finalist in the WriteSafe Present-a-thon competition for the children’s action/adventure series “JEFFREY BEAN”, a finalist in the Acclaim TV Writing competition for the spec script “POPULAR – Let the Games Begin”, and a semi-finalist in the North American Poetry contest for the poem “ SOUL CAMPING”
I’m also interested in learning more about filmmaking. I recently assembled what I deem as my “moviemaking starter kit” – a camcorder, tripod, microphone, and a suite of editing softwares.
I’ve shot and edited two very short videos and am currently in the process of editing a larger project about the “Secrets of the Writers Room” – a 3 day intensive writing seminar that was held at the Cloud Creek Institute for the Arts, a creative community in St. Joe, Arkansas.
