And I like to DVR What Not To Wear sometimes, and yell at them when no one's home. During the day, I don't watch anything at all unless I am ironing, then I watch home improvement and decorating shows. About me:
My name is Jennifer. I live in Oklahoma with my much-adored husband Patrick and our five-year-old boy/girl twins, Patrick, Jr., and Cooper, and our wretched but very cute Lab puppy, Tucker. Tucker recently got a buddy for the backyard, a big hoss of a dog named Henry.
PLEASE, PLEASE, don't send me friend requests without some sort of note. If I don't know you, and you are suddenly eager to be my friend, I have to assume you are a freak. Wasn't it Harpo Marxx who said "I wouldn't want to belong to any club that would want me as a member?" TELL ME why you think we should be friends, even if your only reason is that you find me hysterical, precious, or just downright idiotic.
If you read my blog, it's all from my newspaper column, called "Sounding Off." I've been writing this column for about 15 years or so, in various papers in states where I've lived. When I started this MySpace page, I copied and pasted some favorites from the last two or three years; if you read them, you'll find that the oldest ones are first and the newest (and I think best, LOL) are towards the bottom. I don't know how to fix this. :)

Who I'd like to meet:
Larry McMurtry, Anne Tyler, Anne Rivers Siddons, Nora Ephron, Pat Conroy... oh, gosh, this list could get long! I can't think of any non-writing celebrities I'd like to meet, although of course, I'm sure there are many. I just can't think of them right now. I recently had the distinct honor of meeting Laura Bush; I'd love to have the opportunity to meet her again and actually get to talk to her.
