| Influences | To be honest I like all types of music - it was my brothers Kate Bush Album "Kite" that started the ball rolling with my writing at a early age which got a full page spread in "The Melody Maker" with my song "Poor Betty Jane" at the age of 15.
Other artists I enjoy listening to include Diana Ross, Billie Holiday, Blondie, Beatles, Eurhythmics, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Bob Marley, Janet Kay, Jill Scott, Burt Backarach, Bee-Gees, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac, Crowded House, Cold Play, Carole King, Dolly Parton, Barbara Streisand, Sade, Sting, Razorlight, Annie Lennox, Eva Cassidy, Nora Jones, Joss Stone, K T Tunstall, Pink, Beverley Knight, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliot, Lemar, Faithless, Scissor Sisters, The Prodigy, Gwen Steffani and Nelly Furtado ... the list goes on and on - just too many to mention!
As a writer I appreciate all that goes into creating music and song, therefore I like to listen to a wide variety of artists & styles and admire anybody who sings, writes or plays.
Music is a wonderful medium, it is understood no matter what age, sex, race or religion you are.
