“I love this album. In an earlier life, my job was to evaluate and sell music CDs to local and national record stores. I’ve listened to many hundreds of CDs; this one is so good, so inspiring. It has variety, interest, the words speak to me. It is really well done. Impressive.” ~ Don Wessels, Musician and former CD distributor
“I am absolutely amazed and impressed. There is an earthy soulful quality in her lyrics and melodies that touch the rawness of life without losing its beauty. What an amazing and inspiring woman!” ~ Chris Schwartz, PhD.

"Jennifer Comeau is out to change the world one gratifying song at a time, and you know what, I think she's onto something." ~ Aimsel Ponti, Portland press Herald
“They should be so lucky as to book Jennifer Comeau for the TODAY show. I have never heard of most of the people I hear weekly at the Radio City Rockefeller Plaza concerts, and none of them, even if they have names supposedly recognizable, is as good as Comeau and her ensemble." ~ Mary Elizabeth Nordstrom, Music Critic
With passion and grace, singer-songwriter Jennifer Comeau creates a pleasing array of bluesy-folk songs that peel away our tough layers and shift us to a better place. Its soulful quality touches the rawness of life without losing its beauty.

Jennifer Comeau has an engineer's mind and a poet's heart. She blends her original songs into retreat workshops (See jennifercomeau.com) that explore questions of courage, connection and contribution to a greater world.
Comeau believes, "Each of us has something the world needs that is ours uniquely to contribute. The gains awaiting us go far beyond external status and the acquisition of stuff, but to the absolute essence of our existence: Humankind's natural longing to contribute to something greater than personal gain -- and the paradoxical inner richness we receive as a result."
Comeau has written all of the songs on her debut CD, Feed the Tribe, which is an eclectic mix of buoyant urban folk and blues. Comeau’s allure as a songwriter is the honesty and universality of her messages. “I write about my own sojourn, yet listeners tell me it’s as if my songs are speaking just to them.” With a vocal range from lush and rich in her low register to mellifluous in the high, Comeau allows the uniqueness of each song to direct her performance.
Supported by talented musicians including Don Wessels, Mickey Roache and John Comeau, as well as a cadre of veteran musicians who join her for music and harmonies, Comeau's live performances are replete with irreverent wit and stories that speak to each of us. It is clear she is a woman at home in her role as corporate troubadour in service to people who are changing the world.
We've posted some tunes from our 5/23/09 gig on our
Facebook profile. We're even letting you download it for nothing for
the next couple of days. Why don't you check it out and become a fan of
the band if you're on the Facebook (and who isn't really?)
Here's a listen to what you might hear (the link is a player NOT a spam site.)
Hey Jennifer, thanks for the note! The band stayed home, but I DID go out to Inauguration and had an amazing time! :) It is really an historic moment for this nation. May we all do our best for a brighter day.
Thank you in advance to all of the friends -- both old and new -- who are coming out to see Jennifer Comeau & Friends perform tonight at Saco Coffeehouse (7PM), 60 School Street in Saco. We are planning a very special night and hope you will enjoy it. Cheers, Jen
hi Jennifer - thanks for adding us to your friends list - nice voice - always good meeting other bands & artists from this great state of Maine! - have a good weekend - John / William / Farren -Red Cross Sky-
"Feed the Tribe" is a wonderful CD--a real pleasure to listen to and reflect on! I'm not sure what impresses me most--the song writing, the guitar playing, the singing, the final released product or the fact that you did it ALL to make your dream a reality!! You run circles around the rest of us, Jenny!! Keep it up, though, we love the results! Love, Mary
Hi Jennifer! Thanks for reaching out. How did you hear about us? I don't know too many engineers that blossom into musicians, but I'm gonna' guess you just decided to let out what was there the whole time. ;) Good luck w/ your music & thanks again for "stopping by"!
Love the CD! It's the one CD I can sing along with and know that it's just my key - exactly, custom-made for me (Well, almost; maybe I should reveal to any readers that I'm your twin sister!) I'm so proud of you. You're on your way. Keep writing those beautiful songs. I don't know how you do it, but keep it up! Love, Julie
I just listened to your CD for the first time in its entirety and I think it's absolutely beautiful. Your lyrics are so touching, and your melodies and harmonies are so complimentary. I really love your CD! Are you working on a second album? I'm passing it around to all my friends and taking orders!
