**** "Exquisite and thoughtful singer-songwriter fare.
A special talent, Jennifer has produced a remarkable CD with a great collection of self-penned songs. They are simple, but affecting songs about life, people and relationships - the very bedrock of folk and country music...sensitive and emotional it begs repeated listens."

"Tender acoustic finesse....Ten originals with roots in traditional folk but which head for the mainstream thanks to their stimulating melodies and supreme settings. Everything Changes displays a maturity for retrospection, which will touch a nerve with many a soul and certifies Jennifer's status as a talent with a white light future"

"Jennifer Crook's outstanding blend of English Folk and Americana make her one of the best new singer songwriters around and her band is magnificent"
Live at the Talbot
"Jennifer has taken elements of English folk music and arranged them in a modern, minimal, spacious way that might even be termed Anglicana. It works beautifully.
Her lyric writing is done with real craft and care, and her melodies are tunes you can remember. There are even a couple of songs that sound, in the best sense, like pop hits.
Though there are legions of North Americans mining this neo-traditional territory loosely termed Americana, there surprisingly aren’t many English singer-songwriters following a parallel course. Most seem to be either hung up on imitating American songcraft or sticking to a purist version of English folk.
A Few Small Things is unique, a breath of fresh air, and hopefully the way forward."
Charley Dunlap May 2008
‘A Few Small Things’ is Jennifer’s debut release as a singer-songwriter.
A finalist in the BBC Radio 2 Young Tradition Award in 1993, Jennifer has appeared on national tv and radio, and worked in a variety of acclaimed acts. Her collaborations have ranged from the virtuosic hammered dulcimer and harp duo Cythara (who performed the soundtrack for BBC series ‘The Private Life of Plants’) to the festival mayhem of world-dance fusion band Elephant Talk, taking time to form the lively pop-folk outfit Madigan, and a top class duo with multi-instrumentalist Henry Sears along the way.
However, in a brave new departure, ‘A Few Small Things’ is Jennifer’s first completely solo project and the first to contain entirely original material.
"I wanted it to be quite understated. There are no epic stories or grand statements here - just snapshots of a moment in time when a feeling turned itself into a song."
