   About ponybird
Ponybird is a collective of local musicians under the main songwriting influence of Jennifer Dauphinais (Spider&Fly, The Karner Blues). Jae Sherman (Redbeard) is a regular adding delicious guitar licks both acoustic and electric. As a duo, the two are a rusty bottomed boat of torch and twang sailing the seas of blues and feel, both simple and dramatic. The two can be heard here on the live recordings (one more cup of coffee/I am with you) from the Stony Creek Puppet House show. Caroline (CJ) Kendall joined recenlty on fiddle, and is a welcome addition for the upcoming studio project. As a full band, Ponybird bring a more southern rock feel to things with the solid back beat of Jason Bates (Crooked Hook, The Mountain Movers) and Matt Wilson (Titles, Diamond J & The Rough) towing the line. Check out the IDEAT VILLAGE video clips here on the page from this year's Pitkin Plaza Art Extravganza, care of the lovely Stacy Attenberg. This is a good starting place with more to come.

"The best new music of 2008: Seth Adams’ brand-new CD
“Where You Come From.” This is the best “unsigned” group in America,
and the hardest-working best live act in indie rock.
