"Hastys voice is a rare and powerful combination of haunting folk subtlety, backed with a rich, near-operatic mezzo, and she brings unexpected depth to her all-stops-pulled renditions of ballads by Tracy Chapman, Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks and even Elvis Presley."...LA WEEKLY

Hi Jennifer.. Thanks for taking the time to listen! Great stuff you have, sounds original... I love your voice, cool thing with the opera kind of thing in "Can't help loving that man", but my favorite song is "Black coffee", you're voice really shines throght in that song!! Just in case you're in the San Francisco Bay Area area during the holidays, I'd like to invite you to my CD Release Party & performance on Dec. 28, 8pm at Anna's Jazz Island in downtown Berkeley! It's a cute jazz club, very welcoming atmosphere, located at 2120 Allston Way. I'll be performing with my trio (myself on piano, Eric Marshall on bass, Andre Custodio on drums) with special guests Alex Yeung on electric guitar, and my jazz mentor Eddie Gale, a legendary trumpeter who recorded with Cecil Tayler and Sun Ra. It should be a great evening of music!
DAAAAMMMMNNNN ITTTT!!!!Why do I not check this thing till AFTER you're gone????!!!! Yeah, my family got me into having a facebook. It's takes up too much energy to keep it up---with all the sending of plants and drinks and puppies. I don't really get it but oh well: )
how's the family???? How's little baby Jane? Any new pictures? Could I have any more questions? Maybe? Maybe not? I think I'll go then? Hope all's well?
Jennifer freakin' Hasty! I just read your comment about kindness. I don't know how I could not have seen that sooner. You are the funniest freakin' cousin a person could have. I think you're right. I'm turning to the dark side! Love ya! Em
ooohhh I'd have to agree! Unless I misunderstand your meaning....so many misunderstandings can come from computers and text messages!! There's no emotion, voice influctuations, or tones!! You might have been mocking me and I don't know it!! What then? Do I respond with an F U ???? Or you could have been frustrated and needed someone to understand...and I responded lite-heartedly!!! Then you cannot hear MY tone or laughter and might think me callous!! Oh the confusion simple symbols and letters can bring!! What to do..what to do...
