Sounds Like
Jennifer Rose ...
Really, a lot of people ask but I am not trying to sound like anyone else.
Obviously the most common comparisons I get by industry insiders and fans are Pat Benatar, Lita Ford, Joan Jett. Several people have also mentioned Shirley Manson (of Garbage). And a few have compared Kelly Clarkson to me, although Kelly is much more pop. There aren't many well-known current female rockers with power vocals.
I tend to be drawn to the strong male rock vocalist - Steven Tyler, Freddie Mercury, Steve Perry, Whitesnake, Michael "Mili" Matijevic (recorded vocals for the move "Rock Star"), Ozzie.
I've been told I do a killer version of "Sweet Child of Mine", though I wouldn't say I sound like Axl Rose of Guns 'N Roses.

========================
With a fist full of lyrics and musical ideas in one hand, and her life savings in the other, Jennifer went in search of a producer who understood her vision to create a hard rocking, performance oriented rock band combining elements of modern and classic rock with energy and attitude. With musician/producer Kevin Patrick (Blondie 2001-2008) Jennifer released a 4-song EP in April, 2008. Through self-promotion, perseverance and word of mouth, Jennifer’s songs are now heard on 45+ radio stations in the US, across Europe, Canada and South America. And Jennifer is also host for the web series Metal Head Radio TV. (www.metalHeadRadio.com/mhrtv.html)
With 6 additional songs recorded recently, Jennifer’s 10-song CD is now available and receiving enthusiastic praise from radio, music personalities and fans on several continents.

~ Rob Evans, Power Play Magazine (UK) - Issue No 112
To finish things off for this month I’d like you to cast your mind back to
last year and a rather impressive demo from Jennifer Rose (c’mon, admit it,
you remember the picture if nothing else). Well, she’s back and back with a
very impressive debut album called "Alone & Unsupervised". If ever Debbie
Harry got into bed with Lemmy (hey, they’re of a similar age, stranger
things have happened) then lil’ Jen would be their bitchin’ offspring. This
girl was born to rock and this album is the livin’ proof. Songwise, it’s
comparable to the likes of Lita Ford or Pat Benatar but better than anything
that these two ever recorded in the last fifteen years. It’s intelligent
hard rock that never takes itself too seriously. I loved this album and you
can check it out at www.JenniferRoseRocks.com

~ Rock Report - CD Review - Belgium
When I put Ms. Rose's CD in my player for the first time my immediate thoughts were quite simple & straightforward: another gal going the path of the rock-chick, a blending of Blondie's mainstream capabilities & the hard rocking side of Pink. After a few spins however I discovered there was more than met my eye on that initial encounter. Which is already more than a handful, by the way.
Ms. Rose is rocking slightly harder than the competition. Just put on 'Toe 2 Toe', an AC/DC-styled rocker with a voice heavily reminiscent of a young Pat Benatar and you'll understand perfectly what I'm getting at here. Or listen to 'I Go A Little Mental' where the relentless rocking is putting most of her male counterparts to full-on shame.
I'm glad to say that Jennifer Rose provided us with a very refreshing, hard hittin' release in an otherwise very dull musical year.

"I’m going to finish the month with a bang (I should be so lucky). All of you people that have been starved of some good, honest, Female fronted hard rock can look no further than America’s Jennifer Rose. This peroxide powerhouse has come out fighting with a very impressive four-track demo that will evoke memories of Joan Jett, Lita Ford and Pat Benatar. She should also appeal to the likes of Kelly Clarkson’s and Pink’s audience as she has a similar tempo, only with a heavier delivery. She looks good, she’s got memorable songs and she rocks. What more could you ask for? Her phone number, maybe? I like this chick. The music industry needs more like her. Have a listen at www.myspace.com/JenniferRocksTheMic"

Jennifer Rose Rocks in a most WYKKYD way!
It's that deadly combination of sexy, unbelievable musicianship, hard driving energy and charisma! If you love the glory days of femme fatales, like Pat Benatar and Lita Ford but with a modern punch, check out Jennifer Rose!

~ Kelv Hellrazer, Rock and Radio personality, UK
Jennifer Rose comes from a totally different background. You get people who come up with hard rock and they're in the same circles. She's been away from that, so this kind of sounds fresh, it's classy. It's just different from the usual. It's a really classy album.

A special shout out to Steve Price and the crew at ArFM Radio, UK.
Several friends at FireFest 5 have told me that ArFM rocked my tunes out to the crowd in between the live bands.
Thanks Steve, you're awesome!

Where have the female rock artists gone?
Industry insiders say Jennifer Rose is high energy modern hard rock with classic rock influences. Her vocal style is most often described as powerhouse.
"Of course the music must be great, but if the idea is to perform those songs live, and that’s my favorite part, then they better be songs that you and the audience can really ROCK out to." – Jennifer Rose
Born in San Diego to a military father and a go-go dancing mother, Jennifer made her career choice early when, at the age of 3, she jumped up on a mall bench and began singing at the top of her lungs. Things haven't changed much since.
Flash forward to age 16 when Jennifer joined her first band as lead vocalist with band mates that had to sneak her into bars to perform. This was the beginning of a professional career that involved classical training as well as numerous live performances and studio recordings involving rock, metal, pop, jazz, classical, gospel and even light opera, plus a variety of cover and tribute bands as well as musical theatre productions throughout southern California and parts of Canada.
In 2008, Jennifer parted from her previous bands and began work on a demo CD of her own original rock songs. With a fist full of lyrics in one hand and her life’s savings in the other, Jennifer went in search of a producer who understood her desire to bring back a modern, strong female-rocker figure influenced by the high energy rock of the 80’s with a touch of the glam. As destiny would have it, a random contact from musician/producer Kevin Patrick, offered a unique chance for collaboration. Within a few weeks, Jennifer was on a plane from Los Angeles, California, to the recording studio of Kevin Patrick in Manhattan, New York.
The 10-song CD "Alone & Unsupervised", is now completed and receiving very positive reaction from fans and industry people around the globe.
Jennifer Rose has been the Clear Channel NEW! Featured Artist on several radio stations in the USA and has several magazine reviews from around world.
