Jenni's Interests
|
| General | Family, comics, art, animals, science, books, space, astronomy, people, and chocolate.
![]() | | Music | I have extremely wide music tastes. I love Classical...Vivaldi is probably my absolute favorite! Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninoff are the staples of my CD collection. Having grown up in the 80's that music is still played almost daily. I secretly love to watch VH1 and find those cheesy music videos from the 80's soooooo cheesy that you just gotta watch. And I love Jazz.
I find I am needing a daily dose of Sting, Fiction Plane, Rolling Stones (the OOOOOOOOld stuff) and Terrance Blanchard. The Marsalis family knows how to kick it.
| | Television | Mystery Science Theatre 3000, Jericho, Hero's, Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (yes, I know these are no longer on the air), Lost, The Shield, Rescue Me, The Soprano's, Dead Like Me (yes, I know it's no longer on the air), Law and Order, Gilmore Girls, almost anything Sci-fi. Anything Bruce Campbell--Jack of All Trades, Brisco Country, Jr. | | Books | I love to read, but am particularly fond of Sci-fi/fantasy. Authors I love: George Alec Effinger, George R.R. Martin, Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle, Orson Scott Card (although he's gone a little too nutzo for me lately), Gordon R. Dickson, Carl Sagan, Tony Hillerman, Joe Landsdale. E. Paul Wilson (gotta love the Repairman Jack series), Robert Parker, and oodles of others. I'll update this frequently. |

About me:
I *AM* Time Magazines Person of the Year 2006.
Happily married to comic groundbreaker Barry Gregory. We will be celebrating our 19th year of marriage in June! We have three adorable children who have introduced us to a brand new world.
I was born and raised in Springfield, VA. After High School I attended Ricks College in Rexburg, ID (total waste of time), and then Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where I met Barry...the love of my life.
I was one of those goofy people that loved school. I majored in Psychology, with minors in theatre arts, piano performance, Art History, Art, social work, and interior design. No...really.
Barry and I started working in comics shortly after we married. I had never read a comic until we met. I love them and am so happy Barry introduced me to this medium.
I now in Florida where I work at Disney drawing caricatures in my spare time.
We have 3 children: Chloe (4), Fox (2 years) and Molly (18 months). Yes our tv works, yes, it's stressful, yes it's expensive, yep it's a lot of fun!!
We are all owned by a parrot of questionable parentage named...Hellboy.

Who I'd like to meet:
God--now THAT would make for some interesting conversations.
Sting--don't want to 'talk' to him..I'll just sit and look at him 'cuz he's mighty purtty. And if he chooses to sing or play something...that would be mighty fine.
Einstein--But what would I say after...Ummmm...
Carl Sagan--his series Cosmos made me love science and realize I actually could think.
Groucho Marx--and any of his brothers.
Alphons Maria Mucha--just sit in a corner and watch him draw. Michaelangelo --see above.
Sting--Again. Everyone needs more Sting in their lives.
Dr John (Mack Rebenack) One cool, hip cat.
Bruce Campbell. Have you ever SEEN Bruce Campbell? Who wouldn't want to meet him!
Mozart...I think a session of dueling piano's might be called for.
Edgar Allen Poe. I would LOVE to have him recite "The Raven" for me.
Harry Houdini--Would love to have a conversation with him and James Randi.
