Jenn Ryan is a singer/songwriter hailing from London, Ontario. Recently graduating from the Music Administrative Studies program at the University of Western Ontario and completing a post-grad in Music Industry Arts - Digital Applications at Fanshawe College, Jenn has introduced her music to overwhelming audience reaction in the Ontario folk scene.
Singing and playing piano & violin from an early age, Jenn Ryan grew up performing in the London area and has played multiple shows at the London Children's Festival, Canada Games, Home County Folk Fest, Brampton Folk Fest, Harvest Fest and Winterfolk as well as numerous local fairs and sporting events.
Jenn made the move to the bustling core of Toronto in 2006, but the acoustic, choral and orchestral music she grew up on is what comes out in her writing and performances. Combining acoustic instruments and adding layers upon layers of vocals into a folksy sound that is her own, Jenn writes heart-felt songs based on themes of enduring love, excruciating loss, and redeeming life. Jenn moved to Nashville in early 2008, and her first full-length album was released in October 2008, complete with a whirlwind tour of Ontario with ten shows in seven days.
Don't let her small stature fool you - there is a statuesque voice inside that will be sure to reach your core. Watch for Jenn as she promotes her debut album"Out In The Open".
