GeneralI can't remember what I put in my first profile but it made me sound interesting, damn it. But I guess I dig reading, writing, cashing large checks, gardening, spying on people, getting pedicures, watching Sandra Lee on the Food Network and laughing myself into an asthma attack over her "recipes", complaining, re-arranging furniture, calling the Alderman to bitch about my neighbors' trees, and attempting to please Maisy, the world's naughtiest pit bull.
MusicThe last ten songs on my playlist are: FREEDOM ‘90 – George Michael, SINCE U BEEN GONE – Kelly Clarkson, YOU SPIN ME ROUND – Dead or Alive, 19 – Paul Hardcastle, HEAT OF THE MOMENT– Asia, CHAINS OF LOVE – Erasure, SWEET CAROLINE – Neil Diamond, STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON – NWA, WASTED ON THE WAY – CSNY, and BRIAN WILSON – Barenaked Ladies, so, um, yeah... I'd say my music taste is a bit schizophrenic.
MoviesTK - I'm going to pretty up the joint before I get to stuff as important as movies, TV, and books.
HeroesBridget Jones, Becky Bloomwood, Patsy, Edina, and Lucille Bluth, of course.

About me:
I wrote BITTER IS THE NEW BLACK (NAL - March 2006), BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG ASS (NAL - June 2007), SUCH A PRETTY FAT (NAL - May 2008)and the upcoming PRETTY IN PLAID (NAL - May 2009). I suck at returning emails, cheat at Pictionary, and am far less charming in person than you might imagine. (Except when drinking, which is fairly often.)
Who I'd like to meet:
The assclapper who erroneously deleted my last MySpace profile. (You know, if I were actually paying for this service, I'd be really pissed.) Also, I'd like to meet readers, writers, people anxious to part with $13.95 USD for each of my books, and anyone who can make me laugh. And before you ask, no, I DO NOT want to check out your webcam. Put your undies back on - you're killing your mother. (P.S. Your band sucks.) BTW, if you want to meet ME, check out my tour schedule under the Appearances link at jennsylvania.com.

Jen, Last night I read your chapter in "Pretty in Plaid" about when you went to Europe. I had a very simililar experience when I went to Europe when I was 16 (where the chaperones were like, "Ya sure, run around Paris unattended. Just be back by dinner."). I just want to say thank you for reminding me how independent I could be half way around the world, and what an assmonkey I'm being because I can't seem to get my shit together in freaking FLORIDA. J'aime Paris. And thanks again.

Your post on your website today was very rude. I am not one that complained about your lack of posts (personally, I don't think you are all that important) but it was directed to me as well simply for being a fan. Perhaps you ought to be more careful on how you speak to the people who buy your books. I think I might have to think twice before I buy your next one if this is what you think of us.

Death of an Angel in Iran

You have surely heard about the tragic death of a
brave young woman who was murdered in Iran
just for peacefully protesting with her father
on the streets of Teheran.

Her Name was Neda - please remember her.

Neda

CNN: "Neda" becomes rallying cry for Iranian protests (click here to read)

Please re-post if you care.

I just wanted you to know that I to almost bit the dust getting out of my car at the gas station and it to was caught on tape, the best part was I just read about your fall in the book that day at lunch time. I also have two dogs that seem to do a lot of the things your do!!!

Had to buy a second copy of "Bitter" because my pit bull, Lucy, (I found her tied to a tree, now I know why) ate it.

You are the queen of sarcasim. I love it.

My favorite quote of yours is in Bright Lights Big Ass when you said that you can imagine you and Ann Coulter (I'm a huge fan) having a sleep over and dreaming over Sean Hannity. LOVE it.

I am almost finished with "Bright Lights,Big Ass" and laughed my ass off when you described going to the library to get "Bergdorf Blondes". What did you think of that book? I wanted to write to Plum Sykes and demand a goddamm refund for that POS!

Jen, love your books! Keep writing! I had to tell you that when you talked about Eminem's "Lose Yourself" in Pretty in Plaid, well, I just had to check it out and now I have it on my ipod also! You're right! It's a GREAT motivating song! Thanks for mentioning it!

Hey Jen! I love Pretty in Plaid!! I'm almost done it though :( so, I hope you're working on another book lol. Anyway, I just got my mom and some of her friends hooked on your books...they all just started reading Bitter in Black and they even brought the book with them on their school field trip today (they're all teachers) in hopes that they'll find time to read some more of it! You rock!! and please come to Philly next time you do a book tour!!! thanks :)

I do have to say I am a huge fan! I love all of your books but I was upset that once I figured out which Sorority you were in you were not listed on the notable Pi Phi list. If you would like I would be more than happy to send them an informative letter/email to let them know they have left off a significantly notable sister :) Bitter Love, Jolene
