Brooklyn’s famed Trash Bar and Megaplatinum Entertainment are bringing the noise on Friday, November 20 (Punk night), and Saturday, November 21 (Metal), in celebration of the new DVD, “Alive & Well at the Trash Bar,” shot during 2008-’09. The event will also be on the Worldwide Web at www.megaplatinum.net , which will feature a live chat room taking requests for opening act Situation. The shows, featuring MC Dan Pyro, run from 8 PM to 2 AM (admission $7 Friday, $8 Saturday), with an open bar 8-9 PM. Over 21 only, proof required, and don’t mess with fakes, because the man at the door is professional wrestler The Outlaw Ron Price. Space is limited.

The 60-minute DVD “Alive & Well at The Trash Bar,” written, produced and directed by Nick Vivid of Megaplatinum Entertainment (who will be present filming this event), explores how the New York punk movement transitioned from the Lower East Side to Williamsburg’s Trash Bar. Featured bands include: New York hardcore legends Murphy’s Law; The Homosexuals, featuring 70s British punk icon Bruno Wizard; The Bullys; The Naked Heroes; The Everyothers; Kissy Kamikaze; Situation; ExHumans; Mayday Underground; and Electric Shadows.

"Alive and Well at The Trash Bar" is currently available for download through MegaPlatinum's partnership with the filesharing bittorrent portal MiniNova.

'WHAT GNAWS ON MY SPINE'

Awakening back pains are a strain on my brain.
What I thought was the rain,
And arthritical pain
Was far from the answer, the doctor explained.

“What you’ve got here are teeth,
That lie deep beneath
Your lower spinal frame.”

I listen in aw, as he starts to explain
That what I was feeling,
And my continuous screaming,
Was not from a dream,
But simply a twin,
That settled right in,
And began to devour my spleen!

My backache is from this invader,
That grinds on my spine like a saw.
And all that remains of this twin inside me
Is a mouthful of teeth and a jaw.

I feel an attack as it gnaws on my back,
When I lay on my back, that’s when
The teeth start to bite,
In the middle of night,
I wake up in pain yet again.

The doc called it Lillian, my sister inside,
I screamed out in pain when she gnawed on my side.
There’s nothing to do!
There’s no way to sleep!
The doc says that Lillian is one in a billion
And I can’t live without her,
She makes my heart beat!

So it’s off now to bed, the worst place I dread.
I’ll do anything to fall fast asleep.
But I won’t be surprised when I’m closing my eyes,
That it’s she who starts grinding her teeth!

TORMENT FAKTORY is looking for a harsh/electro style singer/lyric writer. Gender is not a determining Faktor, only the ability to sing in a highly aggressive manner, and/or write really good lyrics. Someone local to the Colorado Springs area would be preferred, but I am equipped to, and will do online collab too if necessary. Hi Jenny Gunns, Heaven & Earth is on hiatus now as Stuart Smith and Richie Onori have joined forces with bassist Steve Priest to reform "Sweet".  For those of you unfamiliar with the band, Sweet originally formed in the early 70s and went on to sell over 40,000,000 albums with 11 International Top Ten Hits such as "Ballroom Blitz", "Little Willy", "Love is Like Oxygen", "Fox on the Run", "Teenage Rampage", "Action", "Blockbuster", "Hellraiser" and many others.
