Jenny Hall - Singing Teacher

About me:

My name is Jenny and I am a singing teacher from Wimbledon. I have been a trained singer for over 8 years and I have been performing in musicals, showcases etc as a solo artist for 7 years. I have also performed as an Alto with Kingston University's Chorus for over 2 years. I have performed at Hampton Court Palace, the new Rose Theatre in Kingston Upon Thames and The Royal Albert Hall several times. I have a degree in Music (performance major) and I have a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts.

I teach all levels and all ages, although I specialise in singing lessons for beginners, specifically with younger people. I work on building confidence with students and help them to feel at ease, especially in the first lessons. I have a lot of young students, I work with a lot of children on a day to day basis. I work for Sutherland Education which is a guardianship organisation and a study centre.

In lessons I teach the basics of technical singing: breathing, posture, using the diaphragm and understanding how the voice works. I also work with pupils on performance of a song, basic music theory, building their confidence and microphone techniques.

I teach a wide variety of students, some who have lessons just for fun and some who aspire to become a singer in the future. My youngest student is 11 and my oldest student is 36.

I do home visit lessons. I have my own car and I am happy to travel within 5 miles of Wimbledon (SW19).

QUALIFICATIONS:

BMus (Hons) in Music (performance major)
BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts

PRICES:

£25 for a 1 hour lesson
£20 for a 45 minute lesson

Students can have lessons weekly or fortnightly.
