About me: Briefly, I am a short, bookish girl who is writing her dissertation on a cultural history of American laughter. When I'm not writing, I'm looking for a new way to run amok. I love breaking the "rules" of prescriptive grammar. I'm into slow-pace 5k races & all things banjo. There is no food that I don't like. I struggle to say no to an invitation. I likewise struggle to maintain a general optimism. I'm a trained sommelier, but not a wine snob. I like a whole hell of a lot of music, and I like people who like music. I write sonnets when I'm not writing academic stuff, but I ain't got no meter.
That photo was from the Saturday before Easter when we got an inch of snow. Of course, April snow doesn't happen very often here, so my husband had to take a picture of it. *lol*
Happy Birthday, beautiful beautiful girl!
Oh how I wish I was there to pick you up and spin you around and throw confetti in your wake all day long. And you know I would, too.
But for now, know that you have stored-up hugs & love comin' to ya, and I will raise a glass to the fact of you being born--because that is something for which I sure am grateful.
Hey Jenn!
Good to hear from you too! What have you been up to? I am living in CA near San Francisco and I got married a couple years ago! Hope things are well with you!
