About me:
Radio presenter Jenny Huston presents Monday to Thursday 9:00 - 11:00pm on RTE 2FM, but has extensive radio and TV experience, including everything fom daytime talk radio to global music TV events.
Canadian-born to Irish parents, Jenny joined RTE 2FM in 2003, having started her broadcasting career at her University radio station CFUV followed by Radio Kilkenny and then-legendary Dublin pirate, Phantom FM. Her arrival at the national broadcaster made an immediate impact with Ireland's rock-hungry masses, and Jenny quickly developed a reputation for her in-depth knowledge of rock history, while simultaneously giving a platform to emerging talent, Irish and international. Her shows, a combination of brand new and classic indie pop and rock, became firmly established as the place to hear quality alternative music on Irish radio, while The Annex proved that Jenny was not afraid to dig into the past, unearthing two and a half hours of rock, Brit pop, indie, punk and grunge anthems every Sunday night. Two nominations for Best Irish DJ at The Meteor Awards, Ireland's answer to The Grammies, proved that Huston had hit the cultural zeitgeist head-on.
Jenny was a weekly contributor to The Gerry Ryan Show for two years, one of Ireland's longest-running and most popular radio shows. She did features on everything from toxic friendships to explaining the intricacies of football to Ireland's soccer-widows. 2008 saw Jenny filling in for numerous prime time talk programmes both on 2fm and Radio 1. She has filled in for Gerry Ryan on The Gerry Ryan Show, Joe Duffy on Liveline and Ryan Tubridy on The Tubridy Show. Jenny was also a regular contributor to Drivetime with Mary Wilson and has been a contributor to The Dave Fanning Show, The Arts Show, The Marian Finucane Show, Morning Ireland and Pat Kenny. Jenny presented RTE 2FM's Sunday evening magazine show, The Snug in 2005/06, covering everything from the emergence of coffee culture to managing your money in modern Ireland, as well as artist interviews.
On television, Jenny co presented the Festival of World Cultures TV Special August 2008. She also joined Other Voices for season 6 in 2008, interviewing artists and presenting the 'Other Room'. Jenny presented RTE's studio coverage of the global Live Earth music event in 2007 and co presented the station's nine hour live broadcast from The Electric Picnic in 2006. Jenny has also contributed to The Late Late Show, Seoige, Now That's What I call The Telly 2008, Seoige & O'Shea, The Panel, Off The Rails, TTV, The Once A Week Show, Ice, The Big Bite, ID+, The Café, Dustin's Daily News and Scope.
Jenny also regularly presents in-flight audio entertainment for Aer Lingus and presented The Irish Sessions unsigned music podcast on the Coke music website.
A Psychology graduate from the University of Victoria, Canada, Jenny also has a Higher Diploma in Arts Administration from UCD, and managed award-winning Irish theatre company, The Corn Exchange, from 2000 to 2003.

Hi Jenny, i have always been a huge fan of yours....such a fab voice...I know you miss Gerry, of whom I was also a big fan. I have a varied music taste and you once read my TOP FIVE songs out on radio and called them " an eclectic" mix. (Bairbre Streisand "Evergreen", Sinead O Connor "Troy", Annie Lennox, "Litte Bird", Queen "Good Although Old Fashioned Loverboy and Britney Spears "Everytime"). they change all the time (of course). hope to hear you on 2fm soon! XXXX Keep 'em radical in there tooooo!!!
