Jenny Mahon is a Toronto based indie singer-songwriter, and visual artist. Born and raised on the West Coast of Barbados, she travelled to Canada at the age of seventeen. Mahon fronted the Toronto rock group, ADA, until the release of its 2008 album Leave That Town . ‘I'm very much inspired by growing up in the Caribbean, and it's wonderful to return to the basic sound of playing a beat-up guitar on the beach,’ says Mahon. ‘I feel like I've gone full circle, where I left as a teenager for the big city rock scene, and now I'm back to writing simple, mellow songs.’
Under Mahon’s own Recordings from the Brightside. , ‘Keep the Fire’ was released digitally this June 2009. The Village Voice Hudson described the album as a ‘whirlwind’ of six acoustic songs, made only in one day. She continues to write and collaborate with artists in Toronto, and openly shares her creative process with the Brightside’s online community.
Hi Jenny,
Are you raising awareness this month about breast cancer?
Have u heard anything about Cashmere helping every year to this cause?
I went to their website www.cashmere.ca/english/instantwin.php but it
does not mention anything about artists like u ... Please, if u know anything,
let me know because I would like to shoot a special about this fashion
show for planet ẏoin ;-)
Even, would you like to make part of shooting or the event as an artist?
Johan

Hey! sorry to hear that lady. It's so funny, how it always seems it's the storm before the calm. example: you guys just put an album out, and there seemed to be alot of buzz on y'all. Huh! Aghhh... Anyways, what are you looking for in a band? I mean I play guitar best, but you never know yeah!
