A native of Austin, TX, Jenny became a fixture of the Brazos Valley during and after her time at university. While in school she began songwriting and performing, and has since played nearly every festival and venue the are has to offer, and many far off destinations from Kerrville to London. Jenny has shared the bill with notables such as The Gougers, Susan Gibson, Micky and the Motorcars, Primm, J. Goodin, Wish Found Nation, The Violet Masons, Ruthie Foster, Roy Gene Munse, Big Speakers (Oxford, UK), Vanessa Peters(Italy/U.S.), Ice Cream on Mondays(Italy) and several others. She has been awarded University Songwriter Winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival and earned honorable mention in the Woody Guthrie Festival Songwriting Competition, and her songs have frequented internet stations such as NetteRadio and LONRadio. Jenny had recorded one album titled "Old Ribbon Hi-Way", before coming into the Canon family in 2006. In 2007 she released her first studio album under the Canon label, “The Songs I’ve Sung”, which has earned exposure on the Texas Music Matters’ program on KUT Radio, Austin. She will be in the studio to begin work on her 3rd album this summer.
..............................AND NOW...........................
After dodging one more bullet in what sometimes seems like a hit or miss life, Jenny is living in Mexico recovering from major surgery and writing for her next album. She will be back and forth between Mexico and the U.S. so keep an eye out for her sporadic shows over the next few months in the Hill Country and the Brazos Valley and possibly other spots..................then we will just see what happens next...............
I'm happy to say that my new "Far and Wide" album is finished and finaly available on iTunes, Napster, Amazon, etc...
