| General | HIM, Ville Valo (obviously) Music, Books, Art, History, Computers (learning new things all the time), Buddhism, Movies, and too many others to list. Love hanging out with my friends, actually like my jobs, meeting new people.
| | Music | I think music was my first love. My mom and dad gave me one of the best gifts when they introduced me to music. I listen to everything. Classical to jazz, Rap to Rhythm and Blues, Hard Rock to Country, Metal to opera. For the last six months or so my absolute favorite band is HIM. Call me a geek if you want but I actually listen to the words and Ville Valo is an excellent composer and musician. Mige', Linde, Burton, and Gas are amazing in their skills and I don't think I have heard a HIM song I don't like.
Some of my other favorite bands are My Chemical Romance, Coheed and Cambria, CKy, Fall Out Boy and the Killers.
I also love the music of Jim Byrnes from Highlander the Series. I love the music from the 80's as well.
| | Movies | I love old movies, I like some of the proverbial chick flicks, I like action and adventure movies, some thriller and suspense movies, and comedy. My movie collection spans the genre's and I wouldn't have it any other way.
| | Television | I don't watch a lot of television anymore, but when I do some of my favorites are: Medium, Crossing Jordan, Chris Angel Mindfreak, Dog the Bounty Hunter, InuYasha. Shows that are no longer on, Highlander the Series, La Femme Nikita
| | Books | Books are my escape. I love getting lost in the lives of the characters and if a writer is really good, I can find myself right there in the middle of the action as a participant instead of just a watcher. Some of my favorite books are Harry Potter, The Hobbit and subsequent Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Karen Marie Moning books (hot hot hot), Anne Rice, I loved being able to pass along my love of The Wizard of Oz, Little Women, The Chronicles of Narnia books to my daughter.
| | Heroes | Finding someone you can admire so completely that you can call a hero is very hard to do. I can only hope most of us have some true heroes in there lives. My heroes are:
First and foremost my mom and dad. It wasn't easy raising my sister and I but they never gave up. My Grandfathers Hud and Mathias. My daughter. Adrian Paul because of his committment to help the children of the world by starting his own charity P.E.A.C.E. (Protect, Educate, Aid, Children, Everywhere). And yes the Dalai Lama. |

About me:
38 year old single mother of one. Open minded about most things. Can not stand intolerance, cruelty, close mindedness, bigotry, or abuse of children. Love learning new things about a variety of different topics. I don't date mostly because I am not any good at it apparently.
Most rewarding job I have ever had is being a mother to my daughter and seeing what an amazing person she is turning out to be. I love to write and have recently published my first novel, For All Time, on Lulu.com. Now all I need is an agent!
I love the outdoors and camping, horseback riding, and hiking. I have very strong opinions and am in the habit of telling the truth if someone asks. As you can see by my profile I happen to be a fan of HIM and Ville Valo.To those of you who visit the page, thanks for stopping by.

Ville Valo, he seems like he would be awesome to just sit and have a conversation with, Adrian Paul, he is indirectly responsible for introducing me to my extended family online, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, whose compassion, inner peace, and teachings make me want to be a better person.
