"Melting together the holy trinity of freakbeat, British Invasion pop and gritty garage rock, Jensen And The Interceptors formed only a few months ago but already have their songwriting skills sorted. The propulsive, 'Hey Joe'-aping 'There's A Girl' has the garage-jangle and snotty vocals we all have come to love, the demo of 'Just To Cry' is pure primitive Thee Headcoatees-esque joy, whilst 'Sitting Side by Side' is one-part cheese-grating guitars and one-part 'bop sha woo wop' vocals. These Interceptors are surely the offspring of the Black Lips generation, and doing it just as well as the masters." SHINDIG! Magazine

關於 Jensen And The Interceptors RIP Oct 08 - July 09
R.I.P
4th October 2008 - 3rd July 2009
Jensen And The Interceptors were a short lived but much enjoyed Freakbeat/Garage band from Wolverhampton.
After making there live debut @ Varsity, Wolverhampton in October 2008 they went on to play 32 shows around the country before there final gig in July 2009.
Touching Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Manchester, Stoke, London and Tamworth. Playing with some great friends and some great bands such as; The Big Bang, The Solomons, The Rivers Presley Set, Velvet Texas Canonball, The Dead Lights, In The Black and Bridge 55. It was fun..
They featured Singer and Guitarist Izzy Izenstain, Joey Roper on Lead Guitar, James Cambell on Bass, Andy Bowker on Drums & Percussion and occasionally John Presley on Keys.
Hope is still around that the muted E.P recordings will surface at some point, or that an occasional guerrilla gig may occur. Money, time and commitment dependant as always. We wait with baited breath. x

"This
is a band to watch. The charismatic lead singer Isabel Lindqwister is a
gospel choir bird and a jazz dive diva from Stockholm. The band is a
Stockholm-Paris musical commute. It’s not really garage. It’s
not blues. It’s a great postmodern pastiche that is clearly influenced
by the mods. Lindqwister, a Swede in Paris, has a bluesy soulful voice
that recalls Kelly Hogan and The Detroit Cobras in contemporary indie
settings. Like the main act that followed her, Linqwister’s stage
presence competes with her extraordinary vocals. www.blog
